    Well that's where you live. Even if you have experienced it firsthand, most people haven't. Thus answering your question.

  5. Eh, I don't know for sure. I have to see the man's house before I think he could be real for sure. Although I don't doubt he exist, I don't doubt he doesn't either. But I don't believe in a heaven or heck, but this is getting into my own personal thoughts on the world and when I get like that I act kinda like a drunken pope. Not before Christmas I won't

    I'm assuming this means you've accepted that you can't really say that there's no way extra terrestrial lifeforms exist.

    It would be interesting if they did. I sometimes wondered if they did or not. But long ago I heard that Earth is the only planet capable of supporting life.

  11. And its possible that there are creatures that wouldn't survive on earth and think there planet is the only one that can sustain life.

    whoever said that must not be very open minded..
    you really can't say that something is the only thing in a said place when you haven't even explored most of it yet.
    we haven't even explored our entire galaxy yet, let alone the universe.

    Not quite. I haven't seen very many numbers, if you consider every possible number. In fact, rounded to the billionth decimal digit, I've see 0% of all numbers. I can, however, say with certainty that zero is the only real number which is neither positive nor negative.

    if I gave you a ball and told you I threw another one that looks exactly the same in one of the corners of a huge room, would you check only one corner and say the others must not have the ball?

    That's not something completely different. It's quite similar. I'm taking a few examples, like the numbers 1, 0, -3, 2^(1/2), e, pi, 1337, -3.14141414, 100/99, and saying "Based on what I know of numbers, and what I know of positive and negative, 0 must be the only real number that is neither positive nor negative."

    but you've already seen all the single digit numbers that make up all numbers.. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 0.
    0 would obviously be the only one that can't be positive or negative due to it having no value.
    if we haven't even traveled to another galaxy yet, how does anything we know prove or disprove that there's other lifeforms out there?
    the same as if I told you there's a box out of a hundred boxes that has a ball in it, and you only check ten until saying there isn't a ball in any of the boxes.
    we're pretty clueless on what's actually outside our galaxy, which is how it's completely different from your example where you already know all the single digits, which is a big chunk of information.

    You guys... are implying our definition of life is the only definition valid, Animals (Plants do, too) adapt,so who's to say someone or something doesn't exist out there that's adapted to not need everything we need?

    who is to say there is? we'd need to check every planet in every galaxy. maybe even the moons of those planets as well.
