you cannot set cards on your opponents turn unles stated otherwise...
Mr. Seto Kaiba set his facedowns last turn THEN you used heavy storm which is a normal spell card which couldnt have activated on Kaiba's turn anyways!

 

Fool. i used heavy storm on my turn which i am repeating after the point he used the traps.

WAIT my mind doesnt even seem to be working right. i just realized everything so far that iv done has made absolutely no sense.

well I didnt check everything for NOTHING soo..

Kaiba used giant trunade, you chained with arrow which did nothing, and chained that to your fires of doomsday which summoned 2 tokens.
your other face down was moved back to your hand!
then kaiba set 3 face downs and ended his turn, once you used heavy storm on YOUR turn he chained with all 3 of his face downs...
which means what you said about him not being able to use face downs on turn set made no sense cuz he didnt do that...
kaiba's hand stays at the same amount he had, I think 9 was it? or 8 what ever xD

Edit: I said heavy storm was a normal spell card so it couldnt have been used on an opponents turn even if set to prove that you had to have used it on your own turn meaning your statment about how he couldnt activate traps during the turn they were set:

was wrong. he did none of it.
so the only one taking back their move is you o.o

 

"but you cant activate traps on the same turn" is correct, the only part that isn't correct is crossed out, so we have to ignore it!
