I'm not saying that he has to, or even should, change his deck, but the start of the E-heroes are still in the era of summoning big monsters, and the end was still in the transition, so the Fusions themselves tend to be less useful than the Synchros, and the extra cost of Poly can be rather painful when every card counts, and having monsters that are useful when you haven't already won is important. The counter balance is, of course, Synchros and Exceeds need you to actually summon the monsters.

Yet stuff like Elemental Heroes, FGD(Doesn't even have to be summoned), and Photon Twin Lizard are amazing Fusions that are just as useful. The E-Heroes you're thinking of that existed back in that time were the ones like the Neos Fusions or Tempest. The Omni Heroes exist in the era that are just as useful effect-wise, not mostly big monster beatstick-wise. The extra cost isn't painful for them.

I'm sorry, I'm just tired of seeing the people eventually make it sound like hardly anything compares to Synchros. Exceeds are growing more ridiculous and Fusions are still keeping up.

If anything, the one Card Type that should be bashed is Rituals since outside of Relinquished, Demise, and the Rituas, they're all terrible today.

Even relinquished can be annoying to summon. Rituals are much more outdated than fusions, to give up on fusions would be to give up on my Ultimate Dragon.
Although the game has changed drastically, I'll probably never be able to fully adapt. I'll always use the "use giant kick-ass monster" strategy cause that's what I grew up with.

I may not win as many, but by darn I'll loose in style.

Actually, Rituals aren't too much older than Fusions. I'm almost certain they both showed up in Duelist Kingdom times. I just forget which one is first, might be Fusions iirc.

For us who want to stick with beatdown, we were blessed with Disaster Dragon.
