hmm.. that accounts for one card. yes, it was counting your draw phase.
For the other card, did you send the card I targeted to your hand? because its supposed to go to the top of your deck.

What happened to the I discard 5 cards, but then I was told to draw 5 new cards, then I had to discard 2 due to your trap. So I still had one extra card from that jazz, actually making my hand 8 cards the whole time. Or that's what I got out of the whole thing...

Did you keep the fact I played babycerasaurus? Because with that and following your formula, I need up with one less card but still have 0 cards in hand, but now my field looks like this:

It didn't change the hand, it's still zero, just instead of me playing 4 set cards, I only played 3.
