if yusei was using fabled he could change spiritualism to -1 card in hand and if he didnt have a card in his hand ALL your normal spells shall be disabled lol
then lava golem would just be a pretty 3000 attack monster for yusei to use next turn and synchro that into something useful...

 

How the hell would he negate Lava Golem? Even if he Bottomless'd it or Solemned it or whatever he would still lose 2 of his monsters. Tributing 2 monsters on the opponent's field is the cost to summon Lava Golem not the effect. And the point of Lava Golem is to get rid of Quasar and Stardust Dragon Assault Mode.

He can negate the summoning sure, but he can't negate the tributes.

That's what broke about Quasar.
Just to defeat it itself, you have to waste hand advantage. All of those monsters, you have to waste even more.
It's not undefeatable, you just wind up being empty handed unless you use Card Of Sanctity(Anime).

I'd rather use Zombie World tbh.

 

Zombie world wouldn't do anything because Lava Golem is a SS, not a tribute summon. Additionally, we were just given four face-downs to work with, no field spell.
