    If a card targets, it can only target one monster at a time. Lightning Vortex affects all monsters, so it does not target. Lord of D and BEUD are destroyed.

    I hate to be that guy... but...
    Brooklyn's first move was actually illegal... he summoned Lord of D. in face up defence position. Cards can only be set in defence position unless another card effect says otherwise.
    EG: If opponent has swords of revealing light in which a monster has to be played face up.

    Thank you Kamina. Well it's too late to change the move now. And like I said, If your opponent gets away with breaking the rules it's YOUR fault. So the Duel will continue as normal.

    @Aqua: You definitely remind me of Aster Phoenix personality-wise but I just have one question:

    How come you aren't using The Destiny Heroes?

    No, Monsters can be Special Summoned in face-up Defense Position but not Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position. Normally if you want them in Defense Mode you have to set them.

    I was referring to a card being Normal summoned in defence position can ONLY be set face down.
    It was a bit obvious considering the context of the conversation and since I was referring to your move with Lord of D.
