EDIT: Okay seriously, This is infuriating, It really is, I should NOT have to tell people that it's not okay to switch Decks right in the middle of a Duel...This should be general knowledge of anyone who plays.

I usually respond to my duels pretty quickly(as long as my computer doesn't blow up, happened once)..

 

well, I did promise to duel Brooklyn for his first duel, so if he's still alright with it

People, This is getting ridiculous, I shouldn't have to be the ruleshark around here all the time.

Lately there's been more and more duels happening, and it's getting kind of straining to keep up. Especially when there's customs involved. So, to save myself the pain (and hopefully so you guys can learn the rules better), I have to say:

Calling over the judge

^^that is to get your attention.

Anyway, here's how it works. If you've played RL YGO, you probably know where I'm going with this.
In a real life game, even in official tournaments, you don't have a judge watching every single move to make sure it's legal. It's up to YOU to make sure your opponent isn't breaking the rules. You need to learn them. If your opponent gets away with breaking them, it's YOUR fault.

From now on, if you see an opponent breaking the rules, you point it out to him/her and tell him/her to change it.

And if:
1. Your opponent refuses to change it
2. Your opponent says they think they aren't breaking the rules
3. You aren't sure whether your opponent is breaking the rules or not
4. etc.

You then message me and I'll come take a look. My word is final in this matter.
Keep in mind, however, that I WILL still be looking at duels, just sometimes not ALL of them. This is why it's important to call me over.

yeah I still want to duel you but I want to know if you guys discard when you reach a limit of cards in hand.
and what if someone was using a deck with, for example, blackwing AND dragon? xD or did I miss something...

 

No, the hand can keep going, but I'd be scared if you actually kept a hand to 10. Plus, dragons and blackwings don't mix well, so the decks shouldn't intertwine. I actually didn't notice it until Jaden said it. That was a failure on my part.

is there seriously a rule number 11? I haven't read the book in so long...probably since I first got the game when I was 7. Oh those were the days when I would play my brother and lose astoundingly. I sucked then, and I can admit I have not gotten that much better, but I can understand how to use my cards a little better. Plus, I always used the Yugi starter deck and he used the Kaiba one, so it was annoying. We watched yugioh together and we always wanted to play out like Yugi and Kaiba. But the roles seemed reverse, since I kept losing

 

Thats actually Jaden's rule number 11...
You must have been watching a different show, I could have sworn Kaiba was always winning. (did the same thing when I was little, except I was Kaiba and my brother was Joey)

 

really? I only remember Kaiba winning against Yugi during that one duel at Duelist Kingdom, or am I missing something?

 

How I love internet sarcasm...He did beat him in the Movie(or would have if they finished the duel).

 

Well in the real game, the Hand Limit is 6 but you can draw more than that as long as you have a hand of 6 or less at the End Phase, There is a way to make your hand increase it's limit with Infinite Cards spell card but there's also a downside to playing that card.

Let's say you have a hand of 10 since Infinite Cards is in play, your opponent plays Card Destruction so you have to discard all 10 cards and redraw 10 more, effectively thinning out your deck.

I have played the agme for a few years but I'm not a Judge in the real world, you gotta qualify for that, of course what jaden says helps, calling over a Judge, but there shoudl be more than one Judge in case one can't get back to you by his/her computer blowing up or being grounded etc.

Actually, the movie does have Yugi lose when he ended hsi turn with Anubis and brought back the Gods, Anubis didn't even end his turn and Yami/Yugi didn't have cards left in the deck so unofically, Yugi lost.
