Why would I do that when using it during the standby phase is so much smarter? That way it has much less chance of being stopped.

Well the MST's cancel each other out, so I think he destroyed your Bottomless hole.

 

I could be reading this horribly wrong... but did I just see someone negate bottomless with MST, that MST be negated by another MST, and then the second MST negated by dust tornado?
If it doesn't say negate, it destroys not negating. both MSTs, and the Bottomless are destroyed, but it doesn't matter, they all still activate.
