Yes I will but first please post what card you discarded. Discarding is a cost not an effect. Costs always resolve before anything and don't get negated. So even if I use a Magic Jammer or whatever you'll still lose a card from your hand.

You had 3, You played Giant Trunade which left you with 2, You played Allure which didn't really affect your hand size because you had to remove from play one card before you drew. Then you played Lightning Vortex in which you had to discard 1 card for it's cost thus leaving you with no more cards in your hand.
