Not exactly, I Special Summon it to the field, the effect kciks in then it'll be destroyed or returned to the hand or deck depending what Trap you use.

To special summon Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End in attack mode!


Now, since I have exactly 3 dark monsters in my graveyard, I special summon Dark Armed Dragon in attack mode!


Since I also have exactly 4 Fairy-type monsters in my graveyard, I special summon Archlord Krystia in attack mode!

No Yusei, Negating the summon of a monster with a Counter Trap DOES stop it's effect from activating. For example, If Caius The Shadow Monarch is summoned and you chain Bottomless Trap Hole his effect will still activate. But if you use a Counter Trap that will stop his effect for 2 reasons. Because Counter Traps are Spell Speed 3. They activate faster than anything. So your opponent does not get priority. And because it negates the summon. Making it as if the summon never happened. For example, If Solemn Judgment is chained to the summon of Elemental Hero Wildheart he will still die because it negates his summon and his immunity to Trap Cards does not have enough time to kick in.

 

True. For example, the only way to stop Jinzo's effect with a trap would be a counter trap to negate it's summon.

Jaden might consider this breaking my deck structure, but I added in D.D. crow to go up against your twilight, incase you tried to do a low Judgment summon, and to mess up DaD..
I chain DD crow to DaD's summon, and remove your shire from play.

for future reference, however, if all of your good cards require you to special summon, don't include cards that stop special summon.
