I could be mistaken, but I think that discard is only for hand to grave, not deck to grave.

 

It says discard in Painful Choice's effect.

 

there should be a limit card Card Destruction, this is rediculous

 

same with drop off and Drastic drop off.
edit: I think the reason behind card destruction not being limited is that it uses up a card, and doesn't change the opponent's had size.
