The world of Laifel

Tristan narrowed his eyes as he looked ahead. It's that boy from before. Heh, he's a good fighter. Thought Tristan.
Something caught Tristan's eye. Some lizards were climbing up the building behind The boy. Tsk, cowards. Attacking from behind.
Tristan punched in the direction of the Lizards, unleashing a powerful blast of Lineve. The blast sent the lizards flying to their death.
Tristan chuckled to himself. Serves them right. Tristan was beginning to feel the wear on his body from Shaping so much Lineve.

 

"Damn it!", Lanan mumbled to himself as he sat up. He just couldn't get any sleep tonight. I must've woken up three times already.He looked outside and saw the moon has barely moved.This must be the longest night of my life, he thought as he turned to look in the distance. To his surprise, he saw more flames. He concentrated his hearing and pricked his ears and heard what sounded like battle noise. "Those Lizards are really going at it", he mumbled as he put a paw on the windowsill and jumped out the window. As he fell, he looked up and noticed the farm wasn't burnt as badly as he thought. The farmer must be pretty happy I came in to save him...Oh damn! The farmer and that Cylian! Oh well, I'll come back to enjoy the breakfast after I see what all the commotion is.

As he ran through the night, he realized he was still tired. If only I got more sleep, he thought to himself as he reached the battlefield. It was a sight to behold, humans fighting Lizards...and the skin-bags actually stood a chance! The mixed stench of Lizard and human blood, as well as smoke, hurt his nose. He jumped on the first Lizard he saw, grabbed it's head, and slammed into the dirt. "That's for your scaley cousin biting my shoulder!" he said as he kicked the Lizard. He then turned his attention to the rest of the battlefield.

 

Tristan turn his eyes away from the boy. It was time to get serious else this would never. Reaching out to the nearby flows, Tristan Shaped a blade in each hand and ran in to battle, all the while slashing at any lizard that came near.
1, 2, 3, 4 Tristan counted to himself as he struck down four Lizards.
10, 11, 12, 13 One by one they fell to his hands. Suddenly they began to realize that Tristan was a threat, and the began attacking him in groups.
29, 32, 35, 38 Lizards fell by the dozens, but Tristan was tiring fast. He was already bleeding from taking a swipe to the back. but he ignored the pain. this was a battle of life and death.

Background- She grew up in a rather wealthy family with a social standing, but wanted a life that wasn't so high class. She longed to be able to go out whenever she pleased without having to worry about the dangers of the night or impressing people. Fed up with having to maintain such a profile, Aduial decided it was time for her to leave. She talked with her parents (for quite a long time), and they eventually agreed to let her go. Not a month after she'd left, she ran across trouble. It was night in the forest; she was enjoying a calming walk when she was ambushed by Leechers. She was able to fight most of them off, but ended up being saved by a Vampire.
Appearance- She's about 5'5".

Powers- Can control heat. He condenses the air around him and then freezes it, forming shards of ice. He can also make the air around an object move faster, creating friction and then a burst of heat. However, the ice cannot remain frozen – neither the object hot – for a prolonged period of time (Aidou isn't greatly gifted with magic).
Age- Looks about 17 or 18; he doesn't like to give his real age.

Background- He's always gotten by on his looks. He was good looking before he was Changed, and his looks only enhanced afterwards. His charm and beauty usually always get him a quick, easy meal. He hates people that outshine him, but he doesn't usually hold grudges. He lives a life of luxury, paying no heed to the trouble around him. His focus was on his own little world until he met Aduial Br̼n. Fascinated by her strong will and complete ignorance of his charm, he agreed to help her Рand stay with her; but that part was just a promise to himself.
Appearance- Blond hair, ice blue eyes, fairly muscular, wears black jeans with a slightly fuzzy, navy blue turtle neck shirt. He's 5'10".

 

Lanan reached for the quiver on his right leg to pull up a bolt...and grabbed nothing.
Damn! I forgot I ran out of bolts! I'll have to do this the hard way
He popped his knuckles and started taking out Lizards left and right. As a Lizard jumped through the air, he punched in it's direction and gust of wind blew from his arm and sent the Lizard flying in reverse. "Idiot", he laughed.
As he continued to fight the Lizards with his fists covered in wind, a technique he called Tempest Fist, he noticed two things.
The first thing he noticed surprised him: it was someone fighting alongside the humans with a wing-shaped sword. It wasn't the sword that surprised him, it was the fact that this person controlled ice like a Cylian, and yet he had wolf features. Another crossbreed?, He thought. He then saw that person's wolf features didn't stand out as much as his own.
The second thing he noticed surprised him even more. A human was taking out Lizards by the bunch. This human wielded a sword in each hand, and each sword was made of light!
"Could that be...Lineve?" Lanan stood in shock. In his whole life, he's only met one person who can Shape. He's met many more mages than Shapers.
As the Shaper seemed to be tiring and was being attacked by groups of Lizards, Lanan started to make his way towards him to help. I hope I have enough energy to make it through this battle...

Tristan could feel the wear on his body. his breaths were heavy. He had taken another slash in the front. Tristan took down another Lizard, but only for it to be replaced by two more.
Perhaps, this wasn't such a good idea..... Thought Tristan, as he took out two more. I can't continue like this. I'm going to have to release a blade. The blade in his left hand dissipated. Tristan took out two more before suddenly feeling a giant blow to the head. The other sword vanished. Tristan fell to the ground unconscious.

 

An uncommon pair of travelers were making their way through trees on their way to Triwn. The taller of the two was a vampire by the name of Aidou Hanabusa. He walked close to his companion, Aduial Brul - a Cylian.
"Wait," The vampire held his arm in front of Aduial.

"What is it?" The Cylian asked, perplexed by Aidou's sudden halt. "Is something wrong?"

"Shh," Aidou chided quietly. He listened to the sounds of the night, and surely enough, he heard a battle going on. "Stay close to me."

"Fine," Aduial rolled her eyes. Was it just her, or was Aidou a little protective of her? The two continued on the path. Aduial listened carefully to see if she could hear what Aidou had.

 

OOC: lolz, everybody is gathering in Triwn. That must be one popular town!

BIC:Damn it! I'm too late! Lanan realized as the one of the Shaper's blades disappeared. Lanan picked up his pace, he had purposely taken his time in order to watch the Shaper. As he got within a few yards, a Lizard headbutted the Shaper from the back. "Move!", Lanan yelled as he blew a gust of wind towards the Lizard. The Lizard was blown back before he could hurt the Shaper anymore, but it was too late: the Shaper laid on the ground unconscious.

Lanan stood his ground by the knocked-out Shaper as a group of Lizards surrounded them. Feeling his own exhaustion, Lanan let out a howl as the Lizards closed in

 

OOC: Thankies! =D *gives cookies to all*

BIC: Aduial was quick to knotch an arrow in her bow and fire at a Lizard as she and Aidou came upon the the scene.

"That was fast," Aidou muttered. He lifted his hands and focused on the air's composition. He froze two Lizards, letting Aduail shatter them with her arrows. His cold eyes met with one of the remaining Lizards, flashed red, and then encased that Lizard as well in a tomb of ice.

Aduial knotched two arrows into her bow and fired. One hit the newly frozen Lizard and the other lodged itself between the ribs of another.

OOC: What? No milk?!


BIC:Why the hell am I helping these strangers?, Lanan thought as he used the night wind to keep the Lizards from the Shaper's body. "Take that!" He yelled as his fist connected with the eye of a Lizard.
All of a sudden, an arrow shot past his line of sight and hit a Lizard. "What the..."

He turned and saw two people, one was obviously a Cylian. The Cylian's companion was taller than her and looked like a normal human, albeit pale.
The taller human's eyes then flashed red and the Lizard in front of him became encased in ice.
Okay...that is NOT a normal human, Lanan thought as a Lizard slashed his back. "I...Hate....Lizards!", he exclaimed as he punched the Lizard in the stomach with his left arm, the one covered in the gauntlet. He looked around and saw the Lizards' numbers were diminishing quickly. Some were being taken out by regular humans, some were being slashed by ice, some were BECOMING ice, the rest were either hit by arrows or were already dead.
He decided it was then a good idea to give in to his exhaustion and collapsed. As he started losing consciousness, he picked up an odd smell. Its source was the taller "human"...Lanan wiggled his nose and decided he didn't like the smell. And then everything went black

Aidou lowered his arms and then snapped his fingers. The Lizards that were advancing towards Aduial were wrapped in ice and then shattered.

Aduial gave Aidou a smile over her shoulder. The two had become quite the duo over a short period of time. She returned her attention to the last couple of Lizards and the other who was fighting them. He was good, she could tell, but what was his reason?

OOC: *brings out a jug of milk and chocolate syrup* Of course there's milk! *looks for Ed Elric* Okay, we're clear. XD

 

OOC: Uh Oh, There goes another one....

 

OOC: Well it is 1 in the morning where I am... XD But I'm not going anywhere for at least another 1/2 hour.

 

OOC:You people should go to bed, it's already 3 a.m. Pezz! lol I got stuff to do tomorrow so I'll probably have quite some stuff to catch up on.
