OOC: Whatever happened to the little princess?

 

OOC: aside from ignoring that little nickname :p she was waiting for Samirel to be posted... but i'll post ^^ sorry for the long wait

BIC: Gemini shrugged when Samirel didn't answer and continued towards their target. When they finally got close she put a hand on the princess's shoulder. "Shh..." she whispered, searching out the gaurds from where they were. "Okay, come on, they're circling, if we sprint we'll make it. You ready?"

 

Lanan crouched, his eyes narrowed in the darkness, waiting to adjust his sight. All of a sudden, a footstep behind caused him to turn around. A shadow darted at him. Lanan made out armor and a sword before jumping backwards. "Guess you're the enemy," he mused, taking out the large dagger. He ran at the soldier, exchanging slashes. The soldier was more trained in swordsplay, putting Lanan at a disadvantage, but Lanan wasn't human, he was quicker and stronger, not to mention he could see better in the dark. "I hate to do this to you," he told the solder as he fell backwards to avoid a slash. Thrusting his foot forward as he fell, he kicked the human flat in the chest. The soldier let out a quick yell and fell through the same hole Lanan had flew through. A loud thud accompanied soon after. "Geez," Lanan said, rushing to his feet. "I hope I didn't kill him!" He went to the hole and looked down.

Ruby turned around and gave one last glance to the small Summon boy and his companions. She raised one eyebrow, frowned, and then scolded them before following Naserrea. Time to free sssome ssslavesss, she thought before adding a sly smile and continuing aloud, "and maybe tear some flesh..."

 

Eleanor squeaked and jumped back from the body.

"What the hell?" she snapped. "That b.astard needs to be more careful."

She looked down at the soldier. "Is he still breathing?" she asked Tristan.

 

Tristan shrugged before kicking the soldier in the ribs. Groaning, the soldier clutched his side in pain. "I would say so." He said with a smile. He gave the soldier another kick in the head to knock him unconscious and then started climbing the ladder. It was no simple task, seeing that the ladder was made of rope, but Tristan managed. Before climbing the last rung, he peaked over the edge. the lack of light made it difficult to see anything, but he did make out four more figures coming at Lanan. Tristan shaped a wall of lineve in front of one of the soldiers. Not knowing any better, the man ran straight into it and fell backwards. Okay, make that three figures. Tristan finished the climb as he made the wall dissipate.

Not bothering to stay hidden, Nas began humming as she approached the target building. It was a small building with only one story. Even so, Tristan said it was important, so Nas didn't question the orders.

Shocked to see anybody at this time of day, let alone a women with clothing made of leaves, the guards stared at one another and raised a questioning eyebrow. "State your business!" one of them yelled.

Nas simply continued to hum while summoning roots from beneath the startled guards.

"What the-" the one on the right cried as the roots tangled them up so then they couldn't move. He was about to raise the alarm, but couldn't do to some root that gagged his mouth.

 

"Let's wait out here, 'kay?" Ben gently pulled Aduial to a stop. "I don't like the feeling I'm getting from this."

"Well alright," Aduial agreed. She didn't want to interfere with whatever it was that the other two summons were planning.

 

OOC:... again waiting for sammy...

Eleanor followed behind Tristan, wishing that she'd let him go first... but, at the same time, she was wearing a small dress and leggings.

"What can you see?" she asked.

OOC: my sister is in Hell Week of her play/musical for her school, so she's real busy with all of her practices, performances, school work, homework, and getting over the flu... so that's why she's not posting a lot. :D ill keep you updated, though, so you all know whats up.

 

"Several guards and one half wolf who looks like he could use a hand." Tristan said with a grin.

Nas, still humming, walked up to the door and examined it. After a good few seconds, she raised her foot and kicked the door down.

 

Ruby followed Nas, only stopping to smile at the soldiers and showing her fangs at them. She then twirled her hair back and stepped through the doorway. "Nice work, rat. Didn't expect you to cause damage, we'll make a monster out of you yet," she bantered, keeping pace behind the nature Summon.


Lanan turned around, frowning and wiggling his noise, and used the wind he had brought with him to send the remaining three soldiers into the wall. Not sure if they were unconscious yet or not, he quickly helped Eleanor and Tristan up. "Give me a break, my noise hurts. Can't you smell that?" He asked, still frowning. "Whoever they're keeping up here, it smells like they're not bathing them."

 

Eleanor nodded. "That's the least of our concerns, actually," she commented, jerking her head at the guards.

 

"Couldn't agree more." said Tristan while putting his back to his two companions. "I got your backs, you got mine."

"Monster? No. If I were a monster then these guys would be dead. In fact, I didn't even hurt them. You're the only monstrosity here. It's your pitiful nature unfortunately. I bet that not even your master would trust you if not for the fact that you are his summon." Nas said with a smooth face. She could hear footsteps down the hall.
About four more guards coming our way. she thought

 

Eleanor nodded and put a free hand in her mouth, letting out a shrill whistle. The guards turned in her direction and she gave them a smile.

"Watch your head, boys," she grinned, before compressing the air around their necks with her mind, snapping their spines at the base of their skulls. They all fell a moment later.

"You're welcome," she said to Lanan, and reached into her bag to pull out the handkerchief she was using in the sewers. "Will this help?" she asked, holding it out toward him.

 

Tristan smiled. "Well that was nice and clean." Relieving the tension in his muscles, Tristan took his time strolling towards the cages hidden in the gloom. What he saw made him stop dead. Hundreds of Cylians and Fairrels lay locked up in cages. Most of the Fairrels seemed in their teens. The Cylians were definitely adults. Tristan was stunned. How did they manage such a feat?

"More humans? I've had enough your people!" growled a Cylian in front of Tristan. A silvery bracelet was lock snugly around his wrist. Tristan eyed it curiously.

"Humans?" Came a feminine voice of a Cat that Tristan could barely make out in the gloom. "No, only one of them is human. The others have a mixed smell."

"Shut it, Fairrel! Nobody asked you!" Snapped the Cylian. The Cylian snapped his head back at the three companions. "So what? Have you come to claim another one of us as your slave? Choose me, I dare you. I'll rip your heart out! What are you doing here? What do you want?!"

"Perhaps...." Came the voice of someone covered in too much shadow for Tristan to make heads or tails of. "Perhaps they've come to save us."

Several of the captives turned their heads towards the one who spoke. The Cylian let out a dry laugh. "Save us? A human save us? Ha! As if! What do you know anyway? I'm surprised that you even have the guts to speak still after all the times they've beaten you. I wonder how much longer till they brake you."

"I j-just thought...." There was a few moments of silence till near broken captive spoke again. "They're not all humans, you know?" Said the captive in a near silent voice. "And look what they did to the guards."

"That doesn't prove anything! I would have thought that you would have learned long ago that we have no hope. We lost that a long time ago."

"but..... if we have no hope, then what do we have left?" The captive's question was answered by silence.

 

Eleanor looked uneasily to Tristan. "You're the hero here," she whispered. "Talk to them."

 

Ha! hero, she says. Crackled the voice.
Tristan pushed the voice out of his mind without a second's thought. Without saying a word Tristan slowly approached where the captive, hidden in shadow, sat slumped in its cage. Taking a few seconds to let his eyes adjust to the light, Eventually he made out a young Wolf girl covered in bruises. She stared up at him with sad yet accepting eyes. Her clothes had tears in several places, especially on her back where she had been whipped several times over.
As he stared down at those eyes, he realized what was the right thing to do. Shaping a small thin rod, Tristan bent over and began picking the lock. He sat there until he heard a click. The captives watched him intently as the lock fell to the ground. As the cage door creaked open, Tristan gave the girl one last smile before moving on to the next cage.
This time the captive was a female Cylian. She too wore a silver bracelet around her wrist. For reason the bracelet gave him an uneasy feeling. But he decided to ponder about it later. As he started picking the new lock, he called out to his companions.
"Lanan, Eleanor. See if you can find some keys to help me out here."

 

A low growl escaped Lanan's throat when he noticed the Wolf Fairrel. The humans dare take his kind? Not just wolves, but Cylians as well? And in a broader view, Fairrels? He clenched his fist tight, the metal gauntlet tingling. He narrowed his eyes at the guards, thinking, Stupid humans...then realized he was stereotyping them the same way he hated being stereotyped. No, just the King and his followers, he amended his thought, shooting Tristan a glance. He had felt remorse for the soldiers when Eleanor killed them. He had even thought that was a bit much, but now? He wished she would have given him a chance to bite their throats out instead of giving them a quick death. "Yes, sir, Mr. Hero," Lanan muttered to Tristan, the anger obvious in his voice.

As he walked over to the three soldiers Eleanor had killed, he remembered thinking saving these children was a waste of time. Now he scolded himself for thinking that. He leaned over the first soldier and dug through his armor. "No key on this one," he observed aloud.


Giving out a loud cackle, Ruby's teeth sharpened and her claws grew. "Who knowsss," she asked as her tongue split, "You may be right about Masster Luna. But for now," she heard the same footsteps Naserrea did, "You go sssave those ssslavessss while the guardsss meet a monsssster." She smiled sinisterly, her body stretching slightly and becoming more flexible. She still appeared mostly human, but was no taller and more worm-like.

 

Eleanor nodded to Tristan, and turned. She pretended to look around and walked over to Lanan.

"Something wrong?" she whispered.

 

Holding back another growl, Lanan replaced it with a spit as he hopped over to the next soldier, avoiding Eleanor's gaze. "All the children up here...They're all my kind. The Cylians and the Wolves are my close cousins. The other Fairrels...we're the same species..." He got on his knees and searched the soldier's armor. "It disgusts me that they were weak enough to let human soldiers take them...but it disgusts me even more that these soldiers have taken them!" He stopped searching as he punched the ground. "The Demons can wait for now. Tristan's right. His father must be stopped!"
