The Ultimate Organization II

Nulix looked at the envelope and then at Wing, "No man, I didn't... A Brotherhood member screwed me over, walked away and then gave me this check, Ten-thousand Munny." Nulix said, holding the check up, "The money is the only upside I can think of. The downside, I'm out of the Tournament... But hey, I wasn't gonna make it past the next round anyway, the rest of the UO can win this thing without me."

 

OOC:I'm having trouble thinking of how to finish my fight......with school and homework, I haven't had any spare time to really think of what to do next.....sorry.

 

the sunlight beamed upon Heimdall's sword as he swung it around his body, attempting to to hit Xane. There were never warriors with as much skill or power as the Norse gods. Heimdall was no exception. One quick thrust of his blade and...

"Gnahhh!" Xane howled at the searing pain through his shoulder. Heimdall had an advantage. He was armed, whereas Xane, was not. Xane then quickly pulled out the blade, watching all of the blood fly loose. Heimdall was not one to quit and began to swing at Xane once more, before Xane quickly rolled out of the way, allowing the sword to slam into the ground. As Heimdall pulled his sword out of the earth, Xane kicked him in his ribcage and sent him towards the ground. Xane then took Heimdall's own sword and began to use it against it's owner.

Xane swung and swung as Heimdall dodged and dodged. Xane kept using a specific pattern while using the sword in an attempt to trick Heimdall. He would wait until Heimdall was used to the pattern and strike without warning in some sort of attack. Heimdall, however, was wise to this type of simple strategy. He had, after all, used it himself countless times on lesser enemies. Who did this mortal think he was?

Xane was no fool either. Heimdall avoided the counter attack by grabbing the sword's blade with his bare hands. As the blood trickled from his hands, Heimdall slowly pushed the blade away from his shoulder. As he did, he smiled and tightened his hand. The blade shattered. Xane was slightly stunned at how much pain heimdall could take, but then again, he was a god.

Xane then responded by punching Heimdall in the jaw. Heimdall countered with a few jabs of his own, before elbowing Xane in the stomach. Xane doubled back and regained his footing before punching Heimdall in the ribs with a couple of swift jabs and following with an uppercut. The god wasn't tired yet. And he showed it by reaching into the arena ground and pulling out a ragged marble boulder.

Xane, wiped blood from his mouth, raised his fists, and prepared another strike...

Wing sighed and looked at the check.

"Compensation for pulling you out...i guess its better then killing you straight up. But your not the only one out of the tournament... Did the brotherhood member say he or she was pulling the rest of us out?"



He leaned against the nearest wall and folded his arms over his bandaged chest, he hadn't bothered finding new clothes yet...but seeing what the residents of the world were wearing, he wasn't in a hurry.

OOC: Maybe you should do intros Wing...that would help a lot and yours was unmatched in its sheer awesomeness...I'll PM you everybody's "animes"...at least that Hidden and I have been using. Anyway, I have done yet another trailer...it's uploading, and is quite different, so when I put the link in, please check it out. Second round will officially start tomorrow, but I'm worried that no one's showed up all day...

Anyway, second round rules will be a little bit different, so watch out for that. I will hint that they'll be slightly similar to Obsidian Sky (at least, what it was going to be like), but I've got it down now, so it should be pretty fun.

 

OOC: Man, I have a slight writer's block on my fight.. I'll probably have it up tomorrow. And how will round 2 be similar to Obsidian Sky?

 

OOC: Meh, I've been having it lately too, that's why my fight was so short (plus it gets boring to constantly write about how Xardius pwns, :P).

It'll be similar in the fighting; since it's an endurance test, you'll have to have something to test right? Well, look no further than your very own HP score!!! But it's not as complicated, so don't worry. I'll explain tomorrow.

OOC: Are you sure using Health meters is such a good idea, Dk? I always thought that making the UO too much like a video game wasn't such a good idea. After all, I like to think that the combat barely drives this story at all. By the way, the new UO intro looks great!

 

OOC: Some battles were always integral to our story. But, other than that, I kinda agree about the health bars...

 

OOC:Yeah......I've been having enough writer's block that I can't even finish my fight. That, combined wtih school, and not having the time to properly think up of anything........My part in this RP is slowly grinding to a halt.

However..........ITS THE WEEKEND!! :D

Perhaps now I might be able to finally do something.

 

OOC: First of all, thanks Nulix. And second, I thought about it, and decided that "endurance" meant "endurance." Therefore, we need something to test on. I will now have Odin explain it all, and I hope you feel better about it.

Here we go.

BIC: Odin stood on the podium and glared at the contestants.

"Listen up, wormbags, wimps, and pathetic wastes!" he roared, while not really using much of his volume, "this round is going to be different. You're going to be fighting monsters from all over, really strong monsters, hear? You might die. This isn't like the other rounds where we can pull you out if you keel over...You'll get mauled and eaten long before we can even get in there. This is a true test of skill, see? Teams are VERY important, so get with it!"

"Now," Odin continued, "you'll each have an HP scale of exactly 1000 Hit Points! You will all take off exactly 100 HP points whenever you strike! Remember that, IT'S BLOODY IMPORTANT!"

"When you defeat an enemy, you'll get EXP and GIL! For those of you who lost in Round 1, you ARE ENTITLED TO PARTICIPATE, but to get into Round 3 you'll have to pay an entrance fee of TEN THOUSAND GIL!" Odin paused again, then continued. "It shouldn't be a problem, but if you LOST, you're likely to get SLAUGHTERED SO DON'T BOTHER!"

Xardius snickered.

Odin glared at him, but Xardius didn't seem bothered by it.

Odin snorted then continued. "EXP will allow you to level your power up! You'll have two EXP scales: Weapon Level and HP Level; the higher the level, the higher your DAMAGE and HP! So it's REALLY important!"

"When it is qualified, you will have PIT STOPS where you will REGAIN ALL your lost HP, and be able to see if you've leveled up or NOT. If you've survived, chances are you've LEVELED, so remember that. If you LEVEL DURING A FIGHT, it will NOT apply until after the Pit Stop, kapeesh?"

Odin nodded. "Good, now get out there and FIGHT!"

OOC: Odin's good at bellowing. Recap - You each have 1000 HP and a base damage of 100. Your enemies will also have a certain amount of HP and a base damage (BD). Defensive capabilities will not apply, and you can use any magic spell (however, it will only take off BD, it just depends on your preference).

When you acquire a certain amount of EXP, you'll level up in either Weapon Level or HP Level or both. The higher the level, the more HP and BD you will have/take.

The first enemies will not be hard, but later enemies will get tough, so you'll have to probably spend some gil for Potions and such. Potions will recover all of your HP, but you can only use one per battle. Phoenix Downs restore you completely as well. Super Potions will recover the whole team's HP. Super Phoenix Downs will recover all KOed allies.

Xardius doesn't really work into all this, because he's just stronger than that, so you can look to him to really be taking off the damage and healing you if you, er, are low on HP, which is highly probable.

Most fights you'll fight enemies by yourself, but special fights will require the entire UO to be there (or at least Xardius, lol).

The final thing is that if you lost in Round 1, you'll be able to participate in Round 2 anyway. Round 3, however, requires an entrance fee of 10000 Gil, something you shouldn't really worry about.

Got that? Oh, and 10000 munny will not count, as munny is light world currency, and gil is dark world currency. So Ulian really cheated Nulix...Kind of.





OK, so now that we have this established, we can start Round 2. I'll wait for Pirate and Jaxed to finish their fights, and then we'll move forward.

OOC:Its not letting me add anymore youtube comments for some reason, so I sent you a pm instead. Also, do you have any idea how I should end my fight?

 

OOC: Your second trailer was great, DarKnight. I'll continue on to the second round as soon as Xane and Heimdall stop trying to kill each other.

 

OOC: Wow, you're still fighting Ares right? Well, let's see, what happened...? Oh, yes, you just made him really mad and summoned a giant hammer. How about...this. (I'll PM you.)

 

OOC:He also grew giant himself, remember? At his current size he is half the size of the arena by himself.

 

OOC: Still, that technique is it. If you can survive long enough to get the power for it, you've got the battle in your hands. (Just apply the differences into what I Pmed you.)

 

OOC: Ulian gave Nulix the money so that he could start a life in the light worlds. Nulix (after he's done with the UO) has no intention of staying in the Dark worlds. And I'm still very hesitant about the Hp thing...but whatever. Nulix is out of the Tournament anyway...

 

OOC: Thanks for the list Darknight for all the vids lol it makes it easier to see if i've watched them al or not lol though, the inverted prism one i made isnt for the "same" inverted prism lol but hey maybe you guys will read the book someday? one can only hope right :) But yeah PM me all the anime's and links to the youtube files if possible. (dont worry about the Tsubasa ones, i have all the DVDs so far in english.)

 

OOC: Yeah, I kind of thought you'd feel that way...You CAN always borrow 10000 gil from someone to enter Round 3, and kick Ulian's trash (if he's in the tournament, ?o-o?)

BIC: Xardius hopped into the arena, and looked around. "Whoever's here, come ON!" he yelled. "I'm waiting!"

 

"Always were one to rush into battle weren't you Xardius?" A small chuckle followed the mysterious voice as a boy not much older then Wing stepped into the battle arena.

"Name's Liam Leer. Pleasure to finally meet you. Are you really as tough as they all say?"

Liam drew a sword and held it at the ready, his long blonde hair covering most of his scared right eye.
