"Of course," Xane replied dully. This sounded like another one of Nulix's obvious lies.n"Maybe you'll have more of a challenge on your next fight."

The sign up/ admission booth was in front of the main courtyard. Unlike most of the other departments in the tournament, this job was run by human warriors and not gods. That was part of the agreement with the Brotherhood. All Novice's idea.

"Excuse me, I'd like to sign up for the tournament," Novice himself told one of the warriors at the admissions booth.

"Um...Sorry sir. Sign ups were closed after-," one of the warriors stated.

"I know. I was part of the agreement," Novice sniffed. "Though I think.....you might find a slot open for me." Novice said as he pointed to a blank spot in the sign up sheet.

"How did you...?" The warrior asked. He was astounded. Where a tournament participants name once was, Novice's name appeared.

"Don't worry. That participant was a mere low-rank Brotherhood agent. He'd be happy to switch places with me," Novice explained. "But....let's just use his name as an alias for me, eh? Wouldn't want to alert anyone else of my presence."

OOC: See ya tomorrow, Jaxed. And a,m I the only one who likes this tournament better than our previous ones, so far?

 

OOC: OH! Jaxed, your going to see the Dark Knight!?! You will not be disappointed! And Pirate, I like this Tournament more then the other ones, mainly because this Tournament has a lot more going on behind the scenes.

BIC: "So how did your fight go, Xane?" Nulix asked, "I didn't catch the end of it."

 

OOC: Amen, Nulix. This is almost intense...in a way... *considering expression like the one might give if they were re-evaluating their life*

Oh, and I'll see you all tomorrow as well, because I (unfortunately) have to go as well. See ya!

 

OOC: Speaking of the Dark Knight, Ulian Ecko is giving off that Joker vibe.....And see ya DarKnight!


BIC: "I won," Xane said. "And you really should work on your lies, Nulix. You use that same tone every time."

 

OOC: Really? I was sort of basing Ulian Ecko off of the early Vecked, the one who would randomly appear and do crazy stuff while being all intellectual about it. But then I had to go give Vecked a back story and make him semi-likable... and bye Darknight! I might have to go soon as well.

BIC: "I'm not lying man," Nulix said, "Check the charts, I won fair and square against Athena."

 

OOC:Yeah And having Vecked join a party, play fourth wall breaking video games, and getting shot didn't quite help either.

BIC: "Hmm," Xane said, glancing at the score board. "I guess you're tellin' the truth..."

 

OOC: ................According to the fanfic that never happened.............

BIC: "Of course I'm telling the truth! I can't believe you Xane, coming up here and doubting me," Nulix joked, "Anyways, where are the others?"

 

OOC: Actually, I have that written down in my foot notes. Yeah, that's right. I made footnotes (mostly out of boredom).


BIC: Xardius went to find Enigma and Darxess, Wing, and the others are still fighting their first round matches," Xane explained.

 

OOC: Gnah! Gotta go, see you people tomorrow....

 

OOC:I'm back. And yes, the batman movie was great.Though I am kind of curious on who the next villain may be.

 

OOC: I haven't seen any superhero movies since Superman, and it turned me off how he could nearly die so easily...after getting shot in the eyeball and not flinch. Which isn't natural. No matter how buff you are, you still have instinctual reflexes that you have no control over. Which includes blinking. >:P, so there.

BIC: Xardius left Enigma at the sign-up booth, where Enigma pulled a similar trick to Novice's, and wandered over to Nulix and Xane, hearing the tail end of their conversation.

"I also went to find out who our next matches will be against," Xardius said, nodding to the two. "And what the rest of the tournament entails. Odin was pretty tight-lipped, but he did mention something about the next part being the biggest, and more of an endurance test. We won't be able to rest inbetween matches like this."

He shrugged. "Which means I think that the enemies won't be too hard. He said something about legendary beasts or something like that. He was mumbling to himself when I walked up."

He smiled. "Anyway, it's not all that important, but I thought you should know."

BIC: Round 1 - Match 1: Greek gods
Round 1 - Match 2: Norse gods (the "Judges")
Round 2 - Match 1-13: ??? (or more)
Round 3 - Match 1-3: ??? (definitely more)

 

OOC: You haven't seen any? Bah, Darknight. Superman Returns was pretty terrible. But did you really expect the movie not to have kryptonite? And besides, Superman's an alien. So his reflexes might not be the same as normal humans.

BIC: "What the hell? An endurance test?" Xane asked. "And...legendary beasts? Can't be any worse than that damn hydra..."

OOC: And Jaxed...I'm thinkin' the Riddler.

 

OOC: Yeah, of course, him being alien explains everything, of COURSE that's why...I can't stand superheroes period...(Even though it's not really my fault I haven't seen any superhero movies).

BIC: Xardius shrugged. "That was the light side, this is the dark side," he said. "The rules are different here."

 

OOC: Darknight, go see Batman right now. We cannot talk until you have seen the greatness that is the Dark Knight! Best movie of the year! It is to superhero movies what Return of the King was to fantasy films.

BIC: "Blah! Whats happening, whats going on with round 2?" Nulix asked Xardius...

 

OOC: I would if I had the money...But I'm saving for something right now, so I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD... :(

BIC: Xardius shrugged. "Not so sure myself...Guess we'll see. Oh, and keep this to within the UO, but Enigma is a Brotherhood member."

 

OOC: Um. Yeah it does explain evberything. 'Cause he's not human. You expect aliens to have the EXACT same biology as us? *Silently scratches Darknight's name off of a list.*

BIC: "Bah," Xane said, inclining in his seat. "Whatever. I'll still breeze through the second round." Xane then yawned a bit before realizing Xardius' news about Enigma." And Enigma is what?!" Xane asked, suddenly sitting back up.

 

"...Enigma is a Brotherhood member?" Nulix muttered, "That's interesting. So what are we going to do with him?"

 

"A Brotherhood member," Xardius repeated quietly. "Don't make a scene..." He looked around, then turned back. "We're not going to do anything. Enigma is working for us. When we get together later tonight, I'll have him explain it. I just told you now so you wouldn't have the impulse to try and kill him."

 

"Do you think he really is working for us? Or he's just trying to stay on our good side?" Nulix asked.

 

"Yeah," Xane agreed. "If he's working with the Brotherhood, how can we trust him?"
