"Like Kade and I..... I would have followed her to the ends of this world..... and still would. It's weird though, the Dragon and Tamer relationship..... its like," Zepharus sighed. "Like we would do anything for eachother..... That's why I tried to destroy Telren everychance I got, because it would have made Kade happy, she tried to help me bring back those Dragons that died because of me.... then we realized the cost of those lives and what we would have brought into the world..... and so we abandoned it. Ina showed up and traveled with us for a while, kade sent her off to Telren to spy on him. Against my numerous warning and now I dont think Ina's spying on him anymore. Ina just wants someone to stay at her side. Kade found someone to take her in but Ina was found by the Knights and it wasnt easy for her." Zepharus felt a tear go down his cheek. "All that's happened seems so unreal.... I can hardly believe it." Zepharus looked over at Xeal and put his head down on his shoulder. He coudlnt figure out why he hadnt felt the connection before his memories came back and for that he felt guilty. Guilty that he didnt remember all the time they had spent together or the feelings he had for the only Dragon that had stayed by his side.

 

"Zepharus..." Xeal said as he embraced him "I'm going to help you and Kade defeat Telren once and for all, you just wait..."

 

"I knew there was a reason I loved you," Zepharus smiled into Xeal's shoulder as he embraced Xeal. "Hey, you just called me Zepharus........ not Zeph or Zephy." Zepharus gave Xeal a playful 'what do you want' look.

 

Xeal gave Zepharus a smile, "What? Cant i be serious once in a while?" Xeal said.

 

"Yes, just took me by surprise is all," Zepharus smiled into Xeals cheek, sighing happily.

 

"So your the serious one now?" Xeal said with a smile "You may be right, im not one of the most serious people in the world."

 

"Well last I heard I was the funny one and you were the serious one," Zepharus laughed. "I wish my memoires would come back quicker. I remember I would always get in trouble and you would bail me out. Seems things havent changed after all this time."

 

"Well, you had a wild streak back then," Xeal said with a laugh "But at least you more mature now, and well, as for me , i think i turned immature." Xeal laughed a bit

 

"Oh really? You think I've become more mature?" Zepharus smiled widely. He jumped ontop of Xeal and started tickeling him. He teleported them to a lake, well more like they were about ten feet in the air above a lake. Gravity soon took effect and sent the two Dragons into the water.

 

"You planned this didn't you?" Xeal said as they hit the water with a load splash
The soaking wet hair had covered his face and Xeal couldn't see.

 

"Maybe," Zepharus smiled though Xeal coudlnt see it. He swam over to the water Dragon and pulled the hair off his face and to the side so he could see. "Still think I've matured?"

 

"Ay, Zephy, you never change do you?" Xeal said as he splashed water at Zepharus with a laugh.

 

"Nope," Zepharus laguhed, maybe 'Zephy' was growing on him. Zepharus dove under water and tickled at Xeals feet before pulling Xeal under to join him. Zepharus smiled at the water Dragon before him, finally happy with who we was. Growing up Zepharus had hated his heritage, hated that just because he was a Dragon he had to be hunted and killed. After many years and hardships, it wasnt till now that he finally made his peace.

 

Xeal smiled at Zepharus as he embraced him , the promise that he made, that day when he left, it finally was realized.

 

Zepharus swam to the surface, after Dragons had to breath too. "Thanks," Zepharus said softly as he embraced Xeal, happy for once in his life. Happy he wasnt running. Happy he wasnt hated. Happy that at this moment no one was after him.

 

"Zepharus..." Xeal smiled "i love you." he rested his head on his shoulder as they hugged.

 

"I know," Zepharus whispered. He looked down at Xeal, he looked so peaceful. Zepharus pulled away and placed his fingers under Xeal's chin. Moving his other hand to Xeal's back he pulled Xeal to him and kissed his lips.

 

Xeal felt Zepharus' lips on his, the feeling he had been waiting so long for, only to be cut short by a huge BOOM! And explosion had caused a boulder to hit the lake, knocking them out of the water.

 

Zepharus was flown from the lake and landed on the rock surrounding it. He heard something crack, Zepharus let out a groan of pain as he clutched his side. Xeal. "Xeal! You ok?" Zepharus called out into the air. He tried to transform into the Dragon but his side was shocked with pain the moment his body reacted.

 

Xeal sat down, his arm was racked with pain. "Zepharus, what was that?" Xeal made a hand sing, and cast a healing spell.
