Kai went through the portal, thinking about what Dexeon had said. "Back." Kai gave Garxena a small hug. "Miss me?"

"Sure..." Garxena said sarcastically. "This is Nova, and Kairi. They're my other friends." Garxena whispered to Kai. "They like each other."

Kai giggled. "Nice to meet you."

 

Kairi walked over to Kai,"Hi." she put her hand out to shake Kai's."As she said, I'm Kairi, good to meet you too. And what did she just say?"

 

Hello Kai. I'm Nova

 

"Um, nothing." Kai was sure that Kairi wasn't supposed to hear what Garxena had said. "So you are fighting Telren? He doesn't sound too hard."

Garxena scoffed. "Oh he's hard. He's way hard."

 

"Yep, he is really tough, other wise he would be dead." Kairi said lightly,"That thought in mind, I think I will go train. I'm not tired anymore and I bet I could use the practice." she portaled outside and pulled out her keyblade to begin training.

 

"So what's been going on before I got here? I want to get things straight." Kai sat in a chair.

"So much! I think you'll like Xalan. She's got the power you've always wanted." Garxena winked.

"She can read thoughts? Wow, I've got to meet her." Kai said, amazed.

 

Kairi focused her energy and cut and closed a tear. Okay, that was easy, and I know I can let out blasts of space, let's try something new. She plunged her keyblade into the ground and created a black hole that sucked most of the ground away. She quickly closed it. "Oops. Oh well, that could be useful later. Okay one more thing I want to try." She concentrated hard and made a sheild of space that was so close to herself that it looked like a cloak around herself. "Yeah!" she flexed her hands, watching the space move around them. It slowly went away, leaving her smiling. "That will definetly be useful later."

"I'm gonna explore this world. Be back soon." Kai gave Garxena a hug and then went outside. "Hm, kinda barren." Kai walked around and soon came to a large building. "Looks like the place where Garxena and her friends live. Couldn't hurt to go in." Kai opened the door and went inside. "Uh oh. Maybe this is that guy Telren's place. I should pobably leave..."

 

"You came back so soon, Kai?" Dexeon was seated on a chair. "Give enough thought to my proposal?''

 

Silax continued reading, "curious....all these books talk of darkness being evil....fools....little did they know...." he said tossing one aside and picking up another.

Yeifou finished making his sandwich and took a bite, "hmm pretty good..." he grinned, "although still need to get more food later...." he laughed.

 

"I'm not taking sides, Dexeon. I never have and I never will." Kai put her hands in her pockets. "But I am curious to know more. Who is this Telren, really?"

"Well maybe the author thought differently than you do, Silax." Garxena picked up the book he'd tossed and placed it back on the shelf. "And some Darkness can be evil. But they shouldn't generalize and say all Darkness is evil." She sat back down. "What do you think of my sister?''

 

Silax looked at her, "haven't met her...." he said looking at a book, "I've been reading....."

Yeifou continued eating his sandwich, "hmm so we lost a person....but gained another...." he said taking another bite, "I guess thats a even trade...." he laughed.

 

"Who is he?" Dexeon laughed. "You need to meet Telren to understand just how powerful he is." He smirked. "Would you like to?"

 

"Oh." Garxena fiddled with her locket. "Well, I think you'll like her. She's a curious person. I'm surprised she didn't get distracted while training. Kai's the type who'll stop right in the middle of something to ask a question. But she's also very determined. And from what I remember, she'll never give up. No matter what." Garxena smiled to herself. "I guess you could say I'm jealous of her."

"Yes, I would." Kai agreed. "And don't think I won't protect myself if anything weird goes on. I didn't train forever for nothing." Kai shifted the weight of her Doublesword to her right shoulder.

 

Silax looked at her confused, "why....?" he asked not looking up, "just because shes better at a few things....thats almost like saying I should be jealous of that fool Yeifou...." he laughed, "no he has his power....I have mine....we are two different people....just as you and your sister are....and you each have your own qualities and talents...."

 

"Follow me then." Dexeon led Kai down a couple halls. When they found Telren, he appeared to be busy. "Perhaps we should come back later."

 

Garxena smiled. "You sure go deep, Silax. But you're right."

"Yeah right." Kai went over to Telren. "You're Telren right? I have a few questions for you." Kai spoke with no intimidation. This guy can't be as bad as anything I've faced before.

 

Telren turned around, "and who do we have here...." he grinned looking at Kai, "someone who has decided to join the family of darkness....and reap its power and rewards?"

Silax closed the book and looked up at her, "if deep is what it takes...." he said standing up, "I think I'll go for a walk...if Yeifou asks where I am....or anyone for that matter...."

 

Garxena nodded. Alone again. Oh well, I'll wait for Kai to come back.

"I don't take sides. Especially not the side of Darkness." Kai looked Telren up and down. "So you're the one my sister and her friends have been fighting?" She asked sceptically. "What exactly are you fighting over?"

 

So naive. Dexeon rolled his eyes.
