"No..." he said, standing up and turning to face him. "She's fine... for now..." he gazed at the gem in his hand. "But we have to get that gem out of here... there's a chance she could-..." He clenched his fists, not even wanting to finish the sentence.

 

Die? He asked not knowing if that was the result.

 

Aang closed his eyes when he said the word and nodded.

 

Geryl looked down. How far till is it safe? He asked.

 

"I don't know..." Aang said. "They're usually kept hidden away in the fire nation... although I heard that they used them once... at Katara's village..." he said.

 

He looked at the stone. How did it even manage to get here? He asked looking at it curiously. And how was it used in Katara's village? He then asked.

 

"I think somebody from the fire nation is here... and they dropped it..." Aang said. "Or they planted it to use against Katara..." He looked down at Katara. "They used it as a weapon in the war... the monster would attack all of her villages waterbenders from the inside and that would weaken them... then they'd attack... Katara was the only waterbender who survived..." He explained.

 

He looked at the stone. Well, I think we shouldn't give it to the fire nation. They could use it again against her, and then again, we can't keep it, Katara is in danger. HE said and then thought on what to do.

 

Aang tried to think of what to do. "We should've left it with that fox..." he muttered but then he quickly turned his head to look at the gem. Something didn't feel right... he felt strange... Is it the demon...? he thought and he thought he saw the face of the demon in the gem. "W-we have to get rid of it, quick... m-maybe we can hide it in the forest..." he said.

 

I'll get it in the forest. Maybe burying it would be a good idea. He then thought.

 

"Probably..." Aang said. "Do you want me to come with you...?" he asked.

 

No need to. He said as he opened a portal and then threw the gem into the portal. Done. He then said.

 

Aang tilted his head. "Well... that works..." he said, laughing. He looked down at Katara. "Um... do you happen to know why Katara's here...?" he asked, wondering why she would be in a place like this.

 

I don't know myself. HE said.
