The Total Drama Island Edit Thread

Wow, they really changed a lot from the Canadian version, eh?

BUT SERIOUSLY, they did, and I really hate how it's totally unecessary.
Tomorrow is the last day we're gonna have to deal with this until TDA comes along...

 

I have watched last night's episode and I can see that this recap was a lot different from the recap episode of the Canadian version.

 

I haven't watched it in a while. I just watched all the Canadian versions and that's it. I really don't watch TV anymore. TDI is by far the best show they've put on there in a while, but I'm tired of them editing.

 

By "them", you mean Cartoon Network?! then yes.

 

That wasnt the recap episode. That was the rundown. Cartoon Network made it entirely.

They didn't edit Trent saying 'crap'! Yay!

 

Yet they show blood on Naruto?

 

I don't think blood is as controversial as swearing and stuff...
It both irritates me and makes me happy that they dont edit 6teen.

 

when i was watching the countdown today i think i saw another edit in haut campture.in the cn version when lindsay finds out that she got her picture in a magazine,she says something like "maybe if i get an acting coach and my nails and hair done i'll get on the cover" and in the teletoon version she says "maybe if i get an eating disorder or my boobs done i'll get on the cover"

 

Yeah, I think Gwen mentioned that on the list of each editing for the whole show.

I am surprise that CN didn't edited 6Teen, but I am pissed that it's not chronologically shown. Instead they just skipped the first eight episodes.

 

So the special is on this week, and I have what could be taken as a bit of bad news, guys...

I think TDA is going to be made by Teletoon without controversial words + jokes.

The special had no swearing and even used the same words cartoon network does like 'shut it'.
The special took no time to come here, in fact, the special aired in Canada on November 29th; it's here on December 18th. Same year.
So yeah...

 

Damn. So much for all the good humors next season.

I watched the special last night, TDA is coming to Cartoon Network in late spring whereas its coming January for Teletoon.

There is still hope, guys!

 

Wow, last nights episode was epic.

And season two comes back in the summer of 09', yeah?

Personally, I'm gonna be watching the January 2009 version. I cant wait for it to come to america, so I'll cheat <3

Well after looking carefully at the edits again, I thought to myself, "Why couldn't Cartoon Network just rate TDI "TV-14" instead of "TV-PG"?!"

What do they think it's still a kid show rather then something for teenagers?!

I mean TV-Guide network rated TDI "T" for teens so why couldn't Cartoon Network do the same?!

 

It's stupid American TV; what do you expect? Probably the "OMG-my-children-can't-see-that Angry Mothers Brigade" came and spazzed. Usually stupid things like that don't get changed unless someone makes a big fuss.
