That being said, I never really minded Navi. Sure, she was annoying. But every once in a while, she would point out something I'd missed.

i was hoping this was a topic about Navis from Megaman battle network...but yes this navi is annoying

 

I thought it was going to be a Lain thread.

 

I sense a 85% probability that Fi is way worse than Navi.

 

She's not. Fi is a lot less annoying because she doesn't just tell you to do stuff you just did.
Navi: Let's go see Saria in the Forest.

Me: I just did that, let's go see Darunia.

Navi: Let's go see How Saria's doing.

Fi is an autotuned nightmare.

 

Fi: I detect that your battery is draining

Fi: I detect that you are low on hearts

She is way more of a captain obvious than Navi, which makes her worse.

 

also, in addition to being captain obvious her information is just useless. At one point she actually says "Since you're playing on hero mode, you already know this, but I will tell you anyway."

Telling you about things you don't want is pretty common in the Zelda games though, isn't it? At least it is in Skyward Sword. They will always tell you about everything, even if you tell them you don't want to hear about it, haha. Oh Miyamoto, you so crazy.

yeah it is, always has been, however what annoys me is that she even mentions that she does it, and is "aware" of it. 90% of what she says is redundant, and though Navi and Kaepora Gaebora are annoying, they don't come off as plain stupid, which I think Fi does.

 

Honestly, I didn't find any of the helpers in the Zelda games I've played annoying.

Navi, Midna, and Fi were all helpful, at least to me. Sure it got a bit agitating having them repeat the same thing again or say some obvious fact, but I kinda liked it.
