the saga of darren shan

this is my favorite vampire series ever next to vladimir todd I have read the whole sieries from book 1 to 12 and I love the suprising ending where I would put it down but I dont want to spoil it for people who havent read it yet

I think that they messed up in making the movie in 2 things maybe more but IDK I havent seen teh movie just enough trailers
1 there was no monkey girl that arived and fell in love with darren
2 th elittle people were supposed to look like dried up midgets and not small Et's

i've only read the manga version and i LOVE Cirque Du Freak!! i'm gonna ask my friend if i can borrow her Cirque Du Freak books.

 

I'm the one person who has completely free access to his books here where i live as does alot of others and yet i haven't read any of the books XD.

Do any of you read the manga of it, my brother seems to read it alot along with reading the books.

 

I have read the manga and the books and well the manga is absolutely awesome. You it is really great you gotta read it.

 

I read this entire series in about a month.

This series has so much win.
Why you ask?
Because there are vampires who don't glitter in the sun.
And there is a rememberable plot.
And its rereadable.
And fun.
So it's one of my favourite casual series to read because they are quick, fun reads.

 

Yeah the series is totally legit,but I wouldn't recommend the movie..it was horrible.

 

Meh, I thought the movie was alright. They shouldn't have put three books in one movie though. Everything seemed rushed.

And yes, OMGZORS I LOVE THE BOOKS. Big fan of Darren, I own ALL his books.

 

My brother just got his book personally signed for his birthday. My mother was in his Class in primary and secondary so she managed it XD

 

I love the series and I have all the books :)

The movie was a MAJOR dissapointment though :/D=:

 

I read them and loved them. I then gave them to my sister, who read them and loved them.

The wacky time travel at the end was a tad offputting though. Timetravel tends to ruin a good narrative, and there really wasn't much of a place for it here.

The rest of the books were good though. It's nice to see an author who's not afraid of killing off characters. (Although that one death scene was rather cruel to the readers, even by my standards.)
