Riku had managed to get on the roof with Jeffrey2. He had the mushroom on a stick hanging across the chimney. "You gotta turn it over, get that smokey flavor nice and easy..."Riku said.

 

"The storm's getting closer," Jeffrey2 said. "Hey Riku, you think that maybe we shouldn't be so-" They both were struck by lightning and fell onto the ground.

 

Eden2 giggled as she was in space.

 

Riku groaned and took a bite of the mushroom to get a rush in his taste buds. "You have gotta try this!"He sat straight up."Its got this kind of...burny,melty...Its not really a smokey taste. Its a certain...Its kinda like a 'Pooosh!' Y'know its got like this 'Ba-boom! Zap!' kinda taste. Don't you think? What would you call that flavor?"Riku asked.

 

Jeffrey2 rolled off his back and felt his fur, which was raised by the lightning. "Lightning-y?" he said.

 

"Yeah...Its lightning-y!"Riku said, excited. "We've gotta do that again! When the next storm comes we'll get up on the roof-"Riku gasped. "I know what this needs!Saffron! Alittle Saffron would make this!"Riku said.

 

"Saffron," Jeffrey2 said. "Why do I get the feeling it's in the kitchen?"

 

"Come on."Riku scurried up the wall and through the window that led to the counter. "Lets see here...."He went to the spices and started to look for Saffron. "Saffron...Saffron..."

 

Jeffrey2 stood there, holding the mushroom. "Not good," he said. "Don't like it. She's gonna wake up."

 

"I've been down here a million times. She turns on the cooking channel-boom, shes never wakes up."Riku kept looking for Saffron.

 

"You've been here a million times?" Jeffrey2 asked.

 

"I'm telling you, Saffron will be just the thing. Cloud swears by it."Riku said.

"Just the greatest chef in the world. Wrote this cookbook."Riku used his tail to close the cookbook.

 

"Wait a minute, wait," Jeffrey2 said. "You... read?"

 

Eden2 was laughing a bit. SHe stared out to the night.

 

"Well, not excessively."Riku said.

 

"Aw man," Jeffrey2 said. "Does Dad know?"

 

Eden2 sighed. Her hair was out of her eyes, and the hat was gone. "I really wish my throat would stop hurting me."

 

"You fill write a book, alot of books, with things dad doesn't know. And they have, which is why I read. Which is also our secret."Riku said.
