This is how you make it:

It's pretty easy. 111x111 blank file on GIMP. Copy/Paste a render onto it, then move it to where you see the bestest parts (for me, the eye and a bit of the hair). Then use the Burn tool a bit, and set it to Shadows (I think). Then, lower the opacity on the Smudge tool and smudge it any way you want. Finally, add a border by Right Click > Script Fu > Decor > Border then set it to 2:2 and choose a border color.

 

Okay. I'll try it when my GIMP co-operatives... It doesn't let me save them..
