Was about to actually post this though glad you beat me to it.

Happy Bday greatest system in all of gaming history. To celebrate I have been playing Ratchet UYA, God of War 2, Jak 3, and Sly 2 since 1am til midnight tonight. So far I am on Jak 3.

Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy (huge childhood memories), Black, Dance Dance Revolution... the list goes on. Though I'm not reminiscing just yet; I'm not done with this system. :]

It has been a great life for the PS2. Let's hope it continues to live. It had some of the most epic games I was too young to get back then but now I get the chance to enjoy them. It also contained the first game I ever loved, Kingdom Hearts.

    Ah the nostalgia. *_*

I loved my PS2, my many adventures of games and the PS2 section at Costco will always be there as I get older and go into the same industry.

I do have to say so far the PS2 has been the best console in terms of multi-genre and popularity. It's a shame the Xbox 360 had taken over Sony's reign simply because it came out first. It's like the Simpsons and Futurama theory, if the other came out first the tables would of been turned.

Anywho, the PS2 is what got me into some of my favorite series such as DMC, KH Onimusha and Shadow Hearts. Once I get my new TV my old tv will be connected to my PS2 and i'll re-play some of those games.

Although I agree, the 360 is also cheaper and the games appeal more to American consumers.

I love my PS2 to this day. I'm still playing KH2FM and Sly 3(Classic).
Darn shame the PS2 has to die.

I'm confused, if the PS2 came out 9 years ago how is it 10 years old?

I do love the PS2, probably more than any other piece of gaming tech (except for a computer, maybe). I have never liked any of the other contemporary systems.
Xbox line - you have to pay for online... and the 360 can slice discs in half if it's moved... :nono:
Wii - abomination - fitness and gaming should never meet.
Gamecube - No. Just... no. Nintendo should stick to handhelds.

can't really think of any other gaming systems off the top of my head.

Yes, that is what he is saying, albeit a little rudely.

yea PS2 is great. i still have to pick up some games on it like God Of War 2 and i was always curious about the whole thing surrounding Persona 3 and 4.

my favorite games on it are: Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Battle Stadium D.O.N, Kingdom Hearts series, Final Fantasy X, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Destiny Directors Cut, Devil May Cry (ONLY the first one game, i played the other 2 games on PS2 but they weren't that great), Red Faction II, Metal Gear Solid 3. there's probably more though.

    yea good system.

i disagree but each their own i suppose.

    sad news

this is the final year they are selling ps2 products i heard it from this guy that works at gamestop because they are getting ready for the new ps4 release next year.
i wish they would go on and keep the ps2 thing going long enough for testsya noumera to start thinking:
you know what this is a great game i made for japan and i want to share it with the united states i think i will release kingdom hearts 2 final mix to the states and watch the money roll in from the game sales.
then hey will be thinking $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$! You Know Were Rich! Square Enix Making Some Really Big Bucks From Japan And The United States!
