The Orphanage

Eva watched him, then pressed her palms to her eyes quickly and turned around, smiling slightly. "I know how to tie them...."

 

Kaylee stepped back into the cell, sitting on the edge of some one's bed and watching the scene happen in front of her. Well finally someone else was helping. She couldn't fight the small smile spread across her face as she tilted her head and hoped for the best, folding her arms delicately across her chest.

She looked back at the window and sighed, realizing there was nothing more she could do here for now. She straightened up and walked past the trio, moving slowly down to the Dinner Hall. Regardless of how inefficient the food was, she was hungry and stood in the line behind maybe 40 other Gifts for something to eat.

BIC: Eva sat back, brushing her hair back from her forehead. "I hate this place." she muttered, looking for a tool.

 

I am so alone. *Hears depressing piano music play in the background and settles into emo corner*

After reaching the front, she reluctantly picked up a bowl of cold...something-or-other and trudged to the back of the hall, sitting in the corner of the room with it on her lap. She gazed up at a guard passing by her with a smirk on his face. He suddenly turned and knelt beside her, lifting her chin with what resembled a wand. She stared quietly into his eyes.

"How old are you? First and last name?" He asked, his voice flat and emotionless. He was looking for the twenty-year-olds.

Kaylee felt herself began to shake again, but stared straight into his eyes.

"E-eighteen. Kaylee Day." She stuttered, scooting back against the wall as he examined her. His hand ran down her arm and rested on her thigh, his head tilting as he stared and leaned forward. Her hands twitched nervously, knocking her breakfast onto the cold hard floor. She gasped as he squeezed her thigh coldly. "I'm sorr-sorry." She whispered, eyes pleadingly gazing into his.

He pulled away and scoffed. "Clean it up." Was all he said, standing over her and leaving her nothing to clean it up with. "You're hungry, aren't you?"

Kaylee looked down at her mess and bit her lip. She was hungry, but it wasn't as if the floors were clean enough to eat off of. No, they were bloodstained. Never cleaned. Shakily, she began to scoop it up with her hands.

The guard, unamused grabbed her by her hair and slammed her face down in the mess, ignoring her whimpers. "You know what I mean."

Kaylee shuddered, closing her lips and squeezing her eyes shut after a shaky breath.

 

"all you guards care about is making our life horrible" Seth said walking up to the guard. and crossed his arms. He showed no fear as he stood infront of the guard that held Kaylee. While he stared at the guard he tried to read his mind

OOC: Okay, so. Eva (shape-shifter) attacked a guard, Sasuke defended her...Rek led the guards away from them, then returned safely...Um...So Rek, Sasuke and Eva are talking....Kaylee is in the Dinner Hall where a guard is being an ass, and Seth just talked back to the guard. :'D

Kaylee tilted her head against the cold floor, staring up at Seth with wide eyes but keeping her mouth shut. The guard let go of her, pushing her carelessly against a wall and standing straight to face Seth.

"Excuse me?" He asked, in a cool voice though he was clearly agitated. Kaylee crawled over to a corner and tried to wipe her face, watching fearfully.

 

"Like I said you enjoy making our lifes like hell. I can tell" Seth said looking up at the guard showing no fear

 

The guard grinned, staring into Seth's eyes with a cold and dark expression. Kaylee stared at them both, puzzled as she noticed a familiar warmth coming from the both of them. Seth was a reader...But if it was coming from both of them then...Was the guard a reader too?

It didn't make sense to her at first, but then she realized something. Some people didn't fail the cleansing. The ones who were able to hide themselves well enough would be foolish not to except such a high-paying and fairly simple job, no? This guard was a Reader as well. Probably how he could tell when a Gift was lying about their age or name.

The guard took a step towards Seth, his wand-like object outstretched as he grinned even wider.

Wolfe strolled down the corridor, her dark eyes looking up at the barricaded windows with some form of concentration, and a hint of curiosity.
Her eyes turned to the guard infront of her and smiled, showing her perfect teeth and complexion.

 

Seth stood his ground and awaited whatever the guard was planning to do. Despite seeing the wand Seth continued to show abosolutly no fear

 

OOC: I think i have to wait for Roxas to get on so.....yeah....

Suddenly afraid of what the guard might do to Seth, Kaylee stood shakily against the wall, staring hard at the man. She was scared, yes, but she was tired of just sitting around and watching people suffer.

The guard got even closer to Seth, sliding the object back into his coat pocket and instead pulling out a small pistol. He cocked his head to the side and chuckled arrogantly.

"Neh, you really ready to die here, kid?" He spat out, finger on the trigger as he leveled it to Seth's head. Kaylee winced and suddenly, foolishly, threw herself forward.

"You're a Gift too, aren't you!?" She cried out recklessly, just hoping to get the guards attention enough for someone to do something while he was distracted.

The guard turned to face her with a grimace. Just what she was hoping for.

 

OOC: Oh, heee heee :glomp:

BIC: Eva muttered to herself, then stood up, taking her hair out of the leather tie she had made.

 

Seth was surprised at the sudden outburst. Seth stared at Kaylee and then looked at the guard once more to see what he was going to do next

 

Sasuke layed down being careful of his ankle. He sighed, and then go an odd feeling.

 

Eva tore changed her hand to claws and tore up a bed sheet, hers. She sighed, changing her hand back and yanking on it. "You okay? she asked Sasuke.

 

Kaylee took a step back, looking over the Guard's shoulder at Seth, beckoning him to do something as the Guard spat curses at her bitterly.

Come on... She thought as she stared into the Guards eyes quietly, moving back.

"And you're an animator. A pretty bad one on that, eh?" The Guard said. "You can't even make your drawings real yet."

Kaylee ignored him and stared straight at Seth, her eyes gazing over at a large metal chair for a minute as she backed up into the wall.

Oh, please... She thought once more, feeling the gun against her head now. She shuddered.

 

Wolfe passed the guard without hesitation. Her ears were pricked for any sounds of voices, and zoned in on one paticular voice. With her exceptional spatial awareness and hearing skills, she led herself towards the room she heard the distressed voices from.

Looking through the doorway, her eyes were immediatly drawn to the guards gun, aiming at a boy infront of him. He seemed distracted, but nevertheless, ready to kill him.
Hating the sight of guns, she approached the room, her eyes examining the girl who was bravely - and almost absent-mindedly - shouting at the guard.
He has a damn gun in his hand, what the hell is she doing!?
