The Orphanage

the wounded Gift's lips began to move. Slow and inaudiable, words dripped from his mouth and spilled on to the floor to mingle with the blood. the triangle began to morph and change. It seemed to be coming alive the more Larz began to die.

"How and why they let my son escape. A reckoning has befallen all of us Ren. Judgement will befall all who are in this building's grounds. A jury of dementia will accuse us and sentence us. The night of mania is coming soon."

 

"as you wish" Ren said walking out. The first person he went to go check was Elevir

 

'This is pointless,' the young girl heard, 'he's putting his son in the way of everything,'

Almost as though on instinct, her head turned towards the location of the voice. He was far, she could tell. Quickly, she began to unstrap her boots, but realizing it wouldn't work, sliced through the cheap leather carefully with her knife. Once the chains were off, and she was once again in her bare feet, she took a step toward the voice. He was Ren, the Reader guard from before. She recognized that much. He was being "insubordinate" by disagreeing with the Director.

However, she hesitated, looking back toward Larz. She could tell he was dying...

"Sorry..." the girl whispered, before running off.

 

Ren began to walk with his eyes closed and then changed his direction. He immediatley took a short cut to where Elevir was. He stood infront of her and looked at her run to where he was "we need to talk" Ren said

 

"So I heard," Elevir said. With her hands clasped politely behind her back, she looked an easy target. However, not an ounce of her guard was down.

 

"walk with me and talk with me. I won't hurt you" Ren said

 

Like I haven't heard that before... it's not like I really have a choice, she thought.

"Okay, I'll go," she spoke, walking alongside the guard.

 

"I was sent to interogate you about how Larz escaped but its obvious that you don't know" Ren said as he walked

Eva sighed, lying on the floor. "Let's be patient. We can get help from other people." She smiled, hiding her pain. Aly sighed. "Nice try. I am the older sister, if you recall."

 

"I really don't," she said.
He must be really skilled, if he was able to read me, she thought. Unless he just believed me earlier...

 

"it was both. I belived you at first but just to make sure I checked your mind once more" Ren said looking at Elevir.

 

"That must be why they offered you a job," Elevir remarked, "But not me. I guess I'm too young."

 

"you impress me with your skills in reading" Ren said

 

"Do I?" Elevir responded, "Well..."

"You can't read from really far away, can you?" the girl asked.

 

"its hard to do but yes I can" Ren said

 

After Elevir and Ren had walked off, he moved over to Larz. "Hey, buddy. This is gonna hurt but it'll stop the bleeding okay?" He said as he patted Larz' face. He then undid the bandage and let flames engulf his hand. He adjusted the heat of the flames and pressed that hand to the wound. The flames cauterized the wound almost instantl and stopped the bleeding. he tied the bandage back on for good measure. "We need some water...." He looked around for maybe a faucet of some kind.

 

The manic's back arched in pain the cauterization. His screams seemed to be able to pierce souls and give rise to fear. After the spectacle was complete, he fell limp. His blood still pooled around him.

Personality: Shy and quiet, partly from years of sensing the guard's minds and the hurt in the Orphanage. But he also senses everyone's desire to be free, the happiness and strength the orphans bring each other, and wants to see and sense everyone make it out. He believes people can change, no matter how dark their minds are.

I posted that again cuz I changed it after reading through all of this, which was worth the time ^^ I'm really sorry about being close to a month late, I've been online this last week and I can finally post without knowing I might disappear again. Looks like I'm still Welcome to Hell'ed, but I'll wait for ya to ok or not ok me.
