The Orphanage

Eva could barely feel anything anymore. She crashed to the ground, the chains unlocked. As she lay shaking on the ground, a guard picked her up gently, and started carrying her somewhere. Gently? she must be dreaming, or she couldn't sense things more then she thought.

 

Keara ruffled her wings a little behind her jacket. A guard grabbed a hold of under her arm and pulled her to the granite wall.
So I heard you got a birthday coming up... his tone snickered with pure joy.

Keara shivered, her skin becoming prickly with goosebumps. She was frightened of her upcoming birthday.
"So what? I'd rather be dead than to stay here forever," she spat at him. He grabbed her neck and pushed her towards the wall, lifting her up slightly choking her.
That can be arranged sooner he growled through his teeth, then dropped her back on the floor.

 

The someone set her on something soft, a bed? She slowly opened her eyes, still shivering.

 

Keara watched the guard walk away, as she traced over her neck with the tips of her fingers. She stood up, walking out of the room and punching a wall. Her wings were becoming restless. She needed to fly soon. It had been a while since she had been in the air.

 

Eva slowly tried to get up, making it to a doorway when she fell. She was still shaking....a side effect of the torture. She pushed herself off the ground.

 

Keara jumped up and started running through the granite hallway where the cell's resided. The door was on the other side of the wall. She kept running until she made it to the dead end. She ran faster as she turned quickly, almost slamming into the wall. She went around another corner and saw the door, where two guards were sitting. She growled, letting her adrenaline rush take over. She ran for the door, seeing the guards more alert. They both had smiles on their faces. She grew one on her face, and shrugged off her jacket, still running. Her wings flew open and she jumped up, letting her wings take flight. She burst through the door, not touched by the guard. But she didn't anticipate a net that she ran into on the other side of the freedom door. A dozen guards stood around the net, a few laughing from her humiliation. She didn't want her wings ripped out again, but with her luck, they'll grow back even more painfully.

 

Larz came closely until he reached the cafeteria. never before had he been in such a large area.

 

Eva shivered, just lying on the ground. She couldn't move her muscles, they were numb. She just couldn't go anywhere.

 

A guard slid the tastless muck through the slot in the door. Reiji quickly ate his food,and the grabbed his pencil. He quickly draw on the tray,sticking the tray half way through the slot. He waited


OOC- I think I'm gunna blow up a guard..

 

OOC: I thought we were gonna come and get you, buuuut......

Eva shivered, then curled up in a ball, crying silently.

 

OOC- You are, but who says I can't blow up a guard in a attempt.

The guard soon came back around to gather his tray. Reiji waited quietly, still gripping the tray. A opposite force pulled on the tray, it was time to react.

"Boom!" His voice echoed in his cell, as the bomb lifted off the page and exploded. Smoke engulfed the cell, making it hard to see. Reiji stepped back until he reached the wall. The smoke cleared..

The steel door burst open, as two guards rushed in. He was injected before he knew he was stabbed. Reiji fell to the ground struggling to keep his eyes. The darkness swallowed him.

 

Keara was dragged along the granite ground in the net. She tried to grab onto anything to keep them from ripping away her wings.
"Stop! Leave me alone!" she cried out, tears forming in her eyes.

 

Eva heard someone crying.....she slowly made herself get up. Guards were dragging a girl...as much as it exhausted her, she shifted into a panther, the easiest form for her, and leapt at them, tearing with her claws and teeth.

 

Keara watched as a panther came from no where. She couldn't help but thing that was her punishment, until she saw it attack the guards. She pulled on the net until it broke, and she flew out, into the air.

 

Eva collapsed, panting. The guards were dead, and she should try to get away, but she was just so tired. She slowly shifted back, and closed her eyes, drifting to sleep.

"To-to kill...?" Sam stuttered, rushing to the Director's side once more. He pushed his glasses up and peered curiously over the man's shoulder. "To kill what...?" He asked foolishly. He knew what. He sighed softly and nervously gazed down at him notebook, blinking once.

Kaylee gazed back at Scott, a curious look on her face. Quietly, and shyly, she moved back a little and nodded.

"Just afraid that something will go wrong..." She said, sighing. Seth and Diary seemed engaged enough in conversation. Kaylee walked over to the bench and sat down, taking in the smell of food. She was actually pretty hungry.

Christina put the pager back. The Guards would be on their way. She grinned and flipped some hair out of her face, lurking in the shadows to watch her plan unfold. All it took was one little signal, and these Gifts were history.

 

"Don't be coy Sam it isn't befitting of someone who has walk the hall of madness and came back to tell the tale."

Walking inside, the director sat down at his desk and began to organize his haphazard work place. Papers were everywhere, new admitions, recruitments, budget numbers, execution notices, all of the good stuff.
Taking out a pen, Kendrith started to work on some of these childs of bureaucracy. He was waiting for the knowledge to sink in and so sam could ask the questions all the others asked.
