The Night Shift

"well im gona get something to drink so you two have fun" Jacob said with a smile while he was walking out of the sanctuary into the town looking for some blood to drink

 

She saw the flame lower. The glow still on her body. She sat against the wall, breathing heavily.
"What was that!?" she asked.

 

"An ancient ritual", Morbius explained leaning back into his stone chair.

 

She looked at her arm, seeing no burn marks.
"What was the fire? Fury?" she asked, still examining her arm.

 

"I bbelive it may have been your fury", Morbius explained, "Although it is usually a red glow not fire, interesting".

 

She shuddered and looked down at her arms.
"It grew... when i screamed out.. When i was scared..." she said, trying to make an observation. It appeared that the fire was fueled by how much she was scared. She shivered.

 

"So fear is what drives you", Morbius mumbled as he pondered on those thoughts and stratergy, "That explains how you could hold your own against Marcus for a while", he said.

 

Jacob was walking the streets and saw a guy with a nice shiny chain"i think it would look better on me"he said to himself then his eyses glowed gold and he focused on the guy"sir may i barrow that lovely chain"he said using charm. The guy gave him it then Jacob walked away looking for some blood to drink

 

She looked down and shook slightly.
"Fear... it's something easily to keep in your mind..." she stuttered.

 

"Exactly", Morbius said putting his hand to his chin and stroking it with his fingers giving the impression of thought. This generation could be the next evolution, it would seem likly from the calenders.

 

"Can fury take different forms? Like how i made fire? Can it be something else also?" she asked.

 

"There are some who can adapt fury to different things, Marcus could do this and so can Kain", Morbius explained, "But I also heard a rumour that those who absorb another vampires life force also gain there abilities at a lower scale".

 

Jacob was in the alley looking at his hand using fury"lets see i havnt did this in a while"he said to himself then his hand began to have a white glow around it"time to focus"he said then the glow turned into water then he changed it into electricity then sighed"all those vampires i did not want to fight"he thought .

 

Lyra sat on cold wet grass, fiddling idily with her sufferthorn blade. She sighed, looking around the city in an uninterested manner.

 

Jacob was walking around then jumped on a building then he looked down to see Lyra"Hey whats down" he called to her with a smile

 

She held her fingertips up to her lips, gasping slightly.
"Take a life, gain an ability..." she whispered to herself. She stood up and walked to the sanctuary door. She looked up at the dark sky, and the rainy streets. She blinked, stopping the use of her sight seeing, into a sonar. She could watch the sonar beat to a soft tune, as she made it. She smiled, her eyes turned a foggy color, and she looked peaceful. The rain always calmed her.

 

Kain stood on the roof of the building where Marcus lay, he wanted to make sure he had killed him. Kain felt like something was missing when he stood over Marcus' body, he picked his corpse up off the floor and smelt it, "What is this stench?", he questioned himself, "It smells like his veins are screaming", he exclaimed as his eyes turned red and Marcus' body ignited the dark red of his eyes when his power was used. Kain had taken Marcus' life force without knowing, he felt stronger afterwards but did not know what had become of him from this. He sought the council of Morbius.

 

She ran straight into the streets, playing in the rain.

 

Lyra looked up..."Hey...Nothing...What about up there?" Lyra asked, turning her attention back to her blade, ears pricked to hear Jacobs reply.

 

Jacob smiled and let his feet swing while he looked down at her"nothing i just talked to the legendary Kain thats all"he said with a smile
