You decide that it is smarter to explore the upstairs with Jayn. Sabby is very upset with your group, meaning that she won’t share any of the information they find with any of your group. You all climb upstairs, deciding to first check the vantage point. From this angle, you noticed that the shooter had a good view at both Clawtooth and into the kitchen where he/she tried to kill you.

“What’s this,” Maka says, bending down to pick up something.

“Apparently our killer is a bit clumsy,” Jayn commented.

Across the floor were bullets for a rifle that seemed to drop by accident. Jayn leads you to the middle of the hallway, where the bullets seemed to completely stop right in front of the book case. While everyone decides to break off into the rooms, you notice that one of the books is crooked. Your minor OCD seems to want to kick in, you want to move the book back into place, but you know it’s more important to search one of the rooms.

What do you do?

(A) Put the book back in the right place

OCD of compulsively picking up shiny pennies from the floor has saved my life once today. Lets see if my luck is consistent.

The stack of bullets is suspicious. Best to see if the bookshelf does anything and take of our OCD tendencies at the same time.​

 

Put the book back. I'm ashamed that anyone would leave a sacred bookshelf in such disorder.

 

Ack, this is actually a hard choice xP If the bookcase wasn't important, you wouldn't really draw attention to it, but not following someone to a room might mean their death...

You decide to take a second or two to put the book back in its place. Once you place it back, there is a low rumbling, and then nothing more. You wonder what that shaking was, but the bookcase doesn’t move. Suddenly, you hear a voice play over the house. The voice is distorted too much for it to be recognized.

“You have made your choice. Now reap your consequences.”

The noise is heard throughout the house. A television set on the wall showed you what happened next. The rumbling noise that happened only moments ago was caused by placing the book back. The library’s doors were locked tight, unable for any human to open it for five minutes. During that time, the room was to be gassed, killing any organic being with thirty seconds. Sabby and her group were all dead in less than two minutes. And it was caused by you placing the book back. Way to go.

“Be careful of where you go next,” The voice taunted, “the game may just be too much for someone.”

What do you do?

(A) Go to a room with nobody in it
