    IS IT ON AGAIN?
It was on at some point over the weekend and I watched it then as well.
I don't know why but the movie makes me so happy in a way that no other superhero movie does. It's not my favorite but I really like it.
It's kinda my idea of a feel-good movie. At least, it's my go-to "I'm in a good mood and just want to sit around and chill" movie.

I could see why- it's a perfect example of a smart action movie. I don't mean that other action movies are inferior, I mean this is realistic and paces itself well as opposed to other action movies I enjoy wh- BOOOOM

In all seriousness, it does a lot of things well when it comes to rewriting history and painting Captain America as the savior of the war and almost sillyify the most significant war in history- something the original comics tried to do as well.

Also, the warbonds girls. That song never leaves man..

See I know nothing about Cap in the comics and don't care to; Evans makes this character for me. His performance is so incredibly endearing and a big part of what gives the movie it's charm.

The film does so many things right that I'm hard-pressed to find a reason to not like it (mainly because I don't want to).
I really like the way they stylize the time period. I think the way they handle the friendship between Steve and Bucky is great. I love that he didn't immediately become a superhero after getting the serum (and yeah, that montage is amazing). All of the scenes with Steve before he became big and muscly are really endearing, character-building scenes. Tommy Lee Jones is amazing here. aaah it's just so nice

Since we were talking about Marvel, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has gotten REALLY REALLY GOOD since December. Seriously. This week's episode was a doozy, and next week's will be even more intense, since it'll take place in the wake of The Winter Soldier. Things aren't looking good for the MCU heroes...

yeah it's gotten better. that one episode a couple weeks ago was great, the last one was good, but my investment is still pretty low.

I haven't seen like... any of the new Marvel movies but I just haven't been too interested in them. I considered watching Thor just because Natalie Portman is in it but I never did. I did see Avengers though and I enjoyed it enough. I am excited for Guardians of the Galaxy though.

Also I'm working the Captain America premiere on Thursday night, always fun.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm going to start running again! Last August I was ~going through some things~ and decided to start running. I got pretty into it, truthfully I was pretty crap but I was improving slowly (in speed and endurance). October hit and I stopped going because it got cold out. It was pretty warm out today though (despite it snowing yesterday dafuk) and I went for the first time in ages. It felt really great, I'm proud that I not only had school today but also work and still found the energy to go. I am basically at the same point I was at last August but hopefully I can reclaim some of my progress.

I'm not really looking to lose weight or anything, I'm 5'2" and weigh 117lbs so I'm pretty small, but it would be nice to replace some flab with muscle.

Running is a great little hobby. You get to go down different roads you'd not normally go, enjoy the scenery, while listening to some good music and jazz. I used to run quite a bit, until recently when I started in a pretty physically demanding job, just don't have any motivation to do it.

You should have still gone during the winter though, Misty. It feels great to run in the cold, I think. Feels super refreshing.

BTW, the stuff I said about Captain America: The Winter Soldier doesn't spoil anything about the plot that you couldn't already decipher from the trailers.

This is exactly why I found Captain America: The First Avenger to be much more easily re-watchable than either Thor, The Incredible Hulk, or Iron Man 2. While all three of those films were definitely enjoyable (in varying amounts,) they didn't do enough to really show the respective characters displaying heroic qualities, nor did the pacing between action scenes and dialogue scenes feel as well-done as it is in Cap's first film, which doesn't sacrifice good writing to have good action.

Dunno why this caught my eye :|

Real talk: I watch Captain America in place of taking a sleeping pill. I have no idea why, but every time I turn it on I knock out (though I somehow manage to wake up briefly for newly-built Chris Evans 9 times out of 10). While I do agree it was one of the best movies out of the first phase of the MMU, I'm still a sucker for my Iron Man 1.
Also probably going to see Winter Soldier on Friday and I'm so excited. AAAAAAAHH!

The first Iron Man film has been and always will be my favorite Avenger movie pre-The Avengers. I feel like it and Captain America: The First Avenger are both the most balanced films of that period of time; giving plenty of focus on Tony and Steve's issues and struggles pre-hero mode, showing off how freaking cool both of their ability sets are, and constantly keeping the plots pretty focused (though Iron Man does have an issue with not giving Tony a substantial antagonist to have a conflict with during the second act.)

    ANIME FRIENDS, ASSISTANCE IS REQUIRED:

I wanna try watching JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, so that, if I like it enough, I can eventually catch up to the new series. What group has the best subtitles for it?

    THE MEMES, THE GODDAMED MEMES.

    (This remix is amazing)

Also sorry for not posting much today, I have been too busy in this "I'm going to upgrade my PC" thing.

Speaking of that, if by Friday-Sunday I don't log in, consider the possibility I had to reinstall everything on this computer for one reason or another, but I shall be fine (Annoyed because having to reinstall everything :l, but fine).

I watched Frozen the other day and it was okay. I thought the pacing was kinda bad though (they climbed the mountain in not much time at all & eternal winter exploded right after Elsa). I also wanted to see more of what Elsa was doing by herself in her ice castle. I liked Anna, but it just seemed like Elsa got pushed aside after she escaped the village and Annaruto let it go, and didn't get touched on again until . Let it Go was nice but the trolls' song was top tier for me.
