Then how can we measure success, if we disregard the only thing that's been similar to this? And as someone who used to post in those threads, nobody actually cared about the whole game aspect. It was just about hanging out. While it might not have started out that way, it ended up being exactly what this thread is meant to be, a place to just post about whatever is on your mind. No other comparison would be more apt.

 

Guys, leave it alone and let's just ignore it. If people want to contribute, they can. If they don't, that's also fine. If they want to contribute but still look down on the thread then they're a bunch of assholes who enjoy nothing more than causing misery where other people are having fun and all that does is reveal more to their characters- we don't need to do anything to add to that. If it persists, I'll call a mod far before I let this thread turn into an unnecessary battleground.

What you're attempting to discuss does not matter. People here are happy, the thread is active, it's accomplished its goals set out in the OP, and not intruding on your life. Well alright then, I just assumed since you used it in plural.

In that case, does it matter what is being said by others? What other people say shouldn't matter. I was mostly just referring to how you cited the post count in this thread for success. I've always enjoyed discussing things, even if it's things I like.

 

I'd rather discuss anything else as there's a lot of defensiveness in the area of this topic.

Your posts reminded me to say something about the film in the appropriate section, since I saw the film last week in a private screening.

The writing is a lot stronger than The Avengers, but to be fair that film didn't need really strong writing to achieve what it was set out to do (tie in the stories of the four main Avengers well and give them dynamic relationships and a common goal to work together for, and I think they did that really well by making it vastly enjoyable to watch and listen to.) Also, I liked how they established that Steve Rogers really deserves the title of "Captain;" he voices his opinions about what Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D are doing without pulling punches (lol superhero movie that involves lots of punching) and the action scenes with Captain America really show just how strong he is even after being in a film that contained THE HULK AND THOR.

And Natasha Romanoff has more to say and do this time. It's almost as if there should be a feature film with a female super-heroine protagonist. HMMMMMMMMMMMM.
