All summer, this has been on my mind, but I have to actually deal with it: I don't want to be a teacher. I thought that I would learn to really love it, but overtime that just waned away. It really struck me when a former teacher told me "if you don't love it, don't do it". It's not that I don't think it's successful, I just don't care for it. I chose it to make my parents happy.

I wanna do something in writing. This last year has really helped me grow my confidence in my skills and my voice. There's a major that's offered here that deals with communication and digital media, which I feel would be good fit. Of course, I still wanna be a script writer, but something's gotta pay the bills. Plus, I'm sure this will get my parents upset. I don't wanna drop out of college, just finally go into a direction I want to.

Let's just hope they're more understanding than I give them credit for.
