It's not so much perfection; the competition and potential for it to be viewed by an appreciative audience for once was a big drive for me, since it's something I've not known for years (basically since high school.)

I may finish it sometime, but missing the due date for this really diminished my current interest in finishing it.

Well then I guess what you should really do, regardless of whether you finish your AMV or not, is to look for another competition you' d be happy to join in. Just don' t obsess too much on competing and don' t lose too much sleep over the result.

if we're doing Meyers-Briggs types or something i'm INFP

also i've read a couple arcs of the One Piece manga (but it's been a number of years) and i remember it being REALLY good like WOW
it's daunting to start properly though...

If you still remember a lot of it you could start at the Alabasta Arc, a lot of people say it's a good place to start if you pretty much know what's happeninh.

A lot of people prefer Black Sabbath with Ozzy, and while I'm not saying they were bad with him (because they weren't), I do prefer Dio in his place. He has a much better fit with them (and a better vocalist, don't think anyone will debate that one).

If you are new to that "era" of metal, then please do check out Dio's work with Sabbath as well as his solo stuff. I suggest:

    Sabbath with Dio:

    Heaven and Hell
    Neon Knights

    Dio solo:

    Holy Diver
    The Last in Line
    Rainbow in the Dark

And his cover of Dream on is particularly good.

Wait, you too ? Are the mods here recruited based on their Meyers-Briggs type or something ? ^^
Also I like how it' s a match with tale' s zodiac sign (Gemini).

It' s not that daunting if you know someone who can lend you the manga. If you' re talking about the anime ... yeah, damn.

...I admit, I'm a little alarmed that you remember/know my sign. When was the last time I mentioned that?

Couple months ago I think ? I often freak my family and friends out over how far my memory can go.

Lying or being fake to an INTP is a very bad idea.
I already knew you were an INFP btw, you already mentioned it a few years ago and for some reason it stuck. xD

playing video games online makes me want to not play video games online because the only way you can actually play anything is if you play competitively and that equals zero fun for me

Untrue. Multiple times I've been summoned into Dark Souls III and just screwed around with other people, without dueling. There's also the cooperative aspect.

There are also games with a bunch of variety like Gary's Mod, where what you do is totally dependent on the game mode.

i think theres a difference. im generalizing slightly but screwing around with friends isnt the same thing as trying to play the game seriously. and youre already good at the game enough to be able to screw around like you say.

I didn't say they're the same thing? Unless I'm misunderstanding something, cause you said the only way to play online is to play competitively.

You don't have to be good at games at all to enjoy Gary's Mod btw.

by only way to play online i guess what i mean is the same thing i was talking about with ygo. everyone is so good and competitive play exists everywhere even in places when the game isnt something thats social or open world and since i dont have friends to play with that requires my playing to be competitive. to use a specific example, i literally cannot play ygo or storm 4 online and have fun unless i commit to being serious about it so i can play on the same level as other people. and while thats a good thing for people whose main hobby is video games and they enjoy challenging themselves and getting better at games, for a person like me who wants to just hop on and play a little bit and then go do something else because i dont really care about video games its a little aggravating that i cant do that unless im super serious about the game.
