anyone have that ygo ps4 game? looks like they just ported arc v special which in that case hit me the **** up bc that sounds amazing regardless of whether or not they updated it to look good for ps4 which seems to be the main complaint. def gonna buy it at some point unless someone says DONT BUY IT

unfortunately we do live in a rap culture and i hate every audible second of it

 

Have it, obviously not as fluid as ygopro, but if I recall it is expensive so if you need a ygo console fix, its probably worth it.

 

the thing that i dont like about ygo pro is that i dont play competitive and i dont like competitive so aside from bot duels ygopro is all but useless to me. thats pretty much why i prefer video games. still have access to cards but can play at my level

 

Then you'll probably enjoy it. I am pretty much in the same mindset.

 

I know this is an answer entirely dependent on a social aspect, but when I was still playing Yugioh, YGO Pro with friends was the absolute best way to do it. Never had to be competitive if we just agreed to use a specific date of ban list and released cards.

 

yeah if you can utilize ygopro its great. the only friend i had who played ygo played with 60 card burn decks while i pretended like i knew what i was doing so it wasnt long before the fun wore off

 

We never got a rating system. That's the thing. It's been in progress for about 2.5 years. There's a very in depth thread in that one forum I can't remember the name of at the moment where Plumsie and I go back and forth on the topic and he says it's almost done, but it never gets finished.

 

I WAS LEGITIMATELY CONSIDERING BUYING A PS4 AT ONE POINT JUST FOR THE YGO GAME.

I donut have a PS4, unfortunately, so I've never played it, but based on what I've heard, a lot of people really love it. A lot of people who liked it as a kid played it because it had DM stuff in it, and then stuck around for the rest of the game, and got into GX/5Ds/Zexal/Arc V as a result. It looks super rad overall tbh.

AS FOR ARC-V SPECIAL, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THAT GAME SINCE IT GOT RELEASED IN JAPAN I NEED IT.

Well to be fair, in terms of both "regular members" and staff this place isn't anywhere near active enough for it to really matter.

I can't imagine there being any form of compatibility issue that would cause a wait for such a feature, so to assume that it's either being procrastinated on or just not actively being worked on is a safe bet.

I'm almost sure I gave my support for the idea in that thread, and if not let it be known that I am for the idea, I just doubt it will be implemented any time soon.

i found a respectable english patch of arc v special a while back and tbh it wasnt as awesome as i was expecting. it seems like it would be the be all end all ygo video game but the story mode kinda sucks compared to other tag force games and it didnt have recent cards that i wanted even though it had arc v. so yeah i mean if you can find the english patch and dont mind that its not as good of a game as tag force 5, than it should be worth it.

 

ah. well, it's not terrible and i only got it for $20 so it's not like i blew too much cash on it

it's fun enough, but certain story mode duels can be a massive pain (especially when you're kaiba fighting yugi with exodia and EVERYTHING is set up for Yugi's victory and your defeat)

haven't quite had the chance to try out online duels since i'm lacking PS Plus but it's fun enough as a duel simulator

 

can someone explain to me how everyone on storm 4 online is so ****ing fast. like when i sub they literally get right up next to me without missing a beat so i cant even react. and when i do the triangle plus x to cancel an action and continue a combo and its supposed to do that thing where you get up next to them, its nowhere near as fast. like is there some hidden button i dont know about for online? because atp thats literally the only way i can make sense of it
