    I'm sure there's a way using Constantine
but I kind of just want Jensen Ackles to play an evil Barry now.

darwyn cooke's dc the new frontier is now my favorite comic
that this was not what was used as a source for a live-action
justice league of america movie that then broke off into singular movies is an absolute travesty.

ultimate sm still my favorite ongoing. idk which i like more.

I assume most Latin-based languages do the same. "Gender fluid" suddenly takes a whole new meaning now doesn' t it ? xD
But yeah, when I asked what was the difference with saying "I' m a helicopter" I was neither trolling nor trying to be offensive.
All those gender neologisms are postmodern word salad to my ears.

I'm confident in recommending it to you. Basically nobody I know who's watched Brotherhood has come away without loving it. 63 episodes if you want to know length.

Maybe the anime will be different, who knows. But if you don't like it, you don't like it.

So my computer has had two more unexpected shutdowns since I first reported it in this thread a while ago. One two or three days after the first one and one about less than an hour ago, where I couldn't even get the computer to come off sleep and had to do a hard reboot and delete the previous restoration data to resume Windows and restart Windows. Basically, the same as turning the computer off and on.

I've picked up on a pattern, though. It only happens when the computer is on sleep. For some reason, my new computer has never stayed on sleep; the monitor will, but if I put it on sleep or if it goes to sleep from idleness, the fan will stop spinning, but will later turn back on by itself. Anyway, from some research, others have had this problem and it's generally a pretty minor issue because, other than that, there are no other issues. It's actually even recommended that you disable the power saving options like sleep, which are just to save power in general, I believe. It's not really anything to do with the computer itself. A screensaver should be enough. However, for now, I just increased the two options by 15 and 30 minutes, respectively.

one day in the future im gonna give it one last chance before i decide once and for all that i just dont like it. because i want to like it. by all accounts, i should like. it has a lot of things that i like in other places. it just doesnt seem to grab me. whenever ive tried to read it, i always end up fading away from it because reading it feels like a chore. and i really dont want to watch it. im sure brotherhood is fantastic, thats wonderful, but i dont care. i prefer to read the manga if its readily available and if its the source material. im a comic person. im also a person who has to force myself to watch things because i get so damn bored when im watching something no matter what it is almost. so yeah. some day maybe.

Something similar happened to me with Legend of Korra in terms of trying it multiple times and it not sitting right with me / hooking me in. It was only after the time I went to Florida and the people I was staying with at the time gave me a ton of **** for it. Then again my reasoning was a bit strange. I hated how it seemed so modern and it almost seem to take away from the charm of the original show.

Of course I eventually decided to just marathon the first season and then see if I want to continue, unfortunately (for my schoolwork at the time) I ended up marathoning the entire series. It was worth it.

Same thing happened with One Piece. It's weird being so highly opinionated (that's just how I am) and then having to tell myself that it's okay to change my mind. Then I binge watch...again and again.

I definitely think certain series could require you (the specific person) to be in a specific mindset or mood or what-have-you to really become engaged by those series. For instance, I heavily doubt I'd love stuff like Ano Hana and Neon Genesis Evangelion when I was much younger and had different ideals to the ones I had in high school and now finishing college.

Personally, I didn't really care for Fullmetal Alchemist when I was first watching the 2003 anime because it didn't really connect with me at that time (granted I was 10-11 years old, and was only able to catch episodes sporadically), but Brotherhood quickly got my interests two episodes in while it was still airing in Japan (2009 to 2010) in which case I was in high school and at that point in my life I was finally beginning to find a healthy social life and dealing with more dramatic situations.

I think the manga and the Brotherhood anime (which are essentially the same story) get progressively better (in how engaging it feels to me) as the plot progresses, and I know that I was really invested in the story once characters like Shou Tucker and Scar were introduced to reflect more sides of the two main characters, Edward and Alphonse (which is within the first four episodes, dunno which volumes those translate to in the manga.)
