a piece of my phone case broke off last week and it really got to me
mourned its loss like an old friend. felt necessary

trying really hard to not pull that impulse purchase trigger on Bloodborne. It looks so cool to me but im a person who usually stops playing a game if i die two or three times in a row. lose patience.

Buy it somewhere that gives you at least a few days before free refunds. It's tough but most of my deaths in that game felt deserved.

Grinded for about 3 hours to get the items for the Watchdogs of Farron Covenant in Dark Souls III because of how dumb the covenant ranking system is if you actually level up quickly.

What an impeccable timing, Sargon just used his latest vid to elaborate on the reasons American social studies are a laughingstock abroad.

By the way, I never said it out loud, at least not explicitly, but it also explains a bit why I think it is utterly irresponsible to encourage kids to embrace made up genders. And to give you a further glimpse into the differences between our countries :
It' s actually illegal here. Teachers are asked to remain as politically and religiously neutral as they can, and we' re not kidding on that one.

...Maybe this is just the part of the US where I'm from, but public school teachers--at least for K-12--are discouraged from sharing/endorsing their political views with their students.

Also, a PSA: Today's the last day to download Jirachi for XY and ORAS!

I' ve seen a few things that wouldn' t fly here on the political front, whether they were within their right or not I cannot say. I am however pretty sure that Christian prayers have been pushed in your public schools on a regular basis. Or you know, creationism.

there may have been a time when this was a thing but as of 2009-2013 creationism is not even kinda pushed in public schools.

Mostly in the mid-west and parts of the south. Colleges, except obviously the religious ones, don't have any of this. A professor at my school would get fired for trying to do that.

I was also gonna comment on your thing about "made up genders" but don't care to try a dispute with no change in opinions.

This might shed some light on my thinking process. I would have an easier time talking about this had they picked they own word for it. Which they did in some European countries since they didn' t even have a word for gender.

I do not mind indulging transgender people on their chosen pronoun because, while their belief flies against reality (based on the dictionary definition of the word), I' m aware that gender disphoria is a thing and that they might harm themselves if I don' t. I' m having a harder time deciding what to do with genderfluids and co. I' ve only met them online so I simply avoid using any pronoun to refer to them. I' m just waiting for the science on the topic, because for now I just can' t shake the feeling they' re just pulling my leg to look "special". But even if there is a medical explanation, as I pointed out earlier this whole pronoun thing is a mine field. The public at large isn' t about to change their most basic linguistic thinking process on such a wide scale for so few people anytime soon.

Just read it. Interesting how the wording is, though I assume some other languages do the same.

I'll say that, for now, I don't think genderfluid people should have the same access to different bathrooms that physically transsexual people do.

The gender-pronoun thing I can kind of agree with you on. I want to let people identify however they want in that aspect, but they have to pick one or the other of the male/female aspects at certain points, like I assume many medical situations pertaining to their possessed sexual organs and natural hormones.

I spent my weekend running lights, sound, and voice over for The Marvelous Winderettes. It was a fun experience, and I got to work with amazing people.

It's a jukebox musical of songs from the 50s and 60s, and holy crap, the 50s were creepy as hell. There is an entire genre of music dedicate to students wanting to hook up with their teachers. This isn't a musical where the songs are made up; these are actual songs from that time period! Like, what the hell was going on back in the day?!
