I don't have much more to say about the subject but I really like Jim Sterling's new video about the series, its design and difficulty, and how people perceive it.

What surprised me most is the fact that Hidetaka Miyazaki was seriously contemplating difficulty options at least as far back as after Dark Souls 1 was released, saying that "I personally want my games to be described as satisfying rather than difficult."

Anyway I'm loving Dark Souls III so far. Feels like a perfect blend of the previous five games that From Software has released in the same vein.

    i beat the pokemon league

i like y. i have some mixed feelings about the difficulty, there was no point where i felt "oh i have to train my pokemon" or like the type disadvantage was so bad that i needed to catch new ones. basically i didn't feel super challenged at all ever. and i don't miss the crazy training grind from previous games but it also felt too easy at times.

i really like all the new extra stuff though and i'm excited to dig into some of the endgame things. i'm also probably going to buy oras at some point

when the first suicide squad trailer came out my comment was

"theyre really shooting themselves in the foot by using bohemian rhapsody and not being waynes world"

then the new trailer came out

and its apparent they actually wish they were waynes world

I'm just enjoying the disappointed BvS fans acting like they were really more hyped for this movie the whole time. Like at the very least they weren't THIS vocal beforehand. I feel like both movies have potential to be great, and I have been a fan of suicide squad for a while, just the concept mixed with the characters is like "yes pls" to me. I just don't remember seeing this many people have faith in it. Before BvS came out, I recall people saying it would be less good than BvS, but now its swapped. At the end of the day if the movie is like the trailers, I am going to both enjoy this as a comic fan, while it also being the best popcorn flick I've seen in ages.

I was honestly skeptical about Suicide Squad until the Bohemian Rhapsody trailer. Batman v Superman, can't say I ever had high hopes sadly.

I am super biased because like I said the characters/concept is amazing to me, but ever since watching the Suicide Squad animated movie, I was like "they need to make this movie."

yeah I know there's not a lot supposedly. there's still Pokemon to collect and some places to explore and I've barely touched the online stuff and also I'm obsessed with berry farming. I feel like there's plenty to do for me

If you have an R4 I highly recommend playing "Sacred Gold or Storm Silver", they are basically hacks of the remakes but made to be more difficult, while also adding a lot of extra cool stuff. If I recall correctly you can actually legitimately catch every Pokemon without cheating or trading (may be wrong about trading, haven't played it in like 8 months).

I know some people are hesitant about playing hacked Roms because they are sometimes low quality in terms of gameplay (poor graphical edits, bad scripts, etc) but both of these hacks made me feel like my entire time hacking/making codes for games was a galactic waste of time, meaning it's THAT good. Just my opinion tho, if you like harder Pokemon games (and the gold/silver ds remake) then at least give it a shot. It should work on all R4's (DS through 3DS, as I played it on my 3DS).

KH Re:Coded allows us to tweak some of those modifiers ourselves. The no brainer route has been taken by quite a number of games by now and I don' t remember hearing anyone ***** about it. No wait, I did, when they divided the length of the life bar in Rygar by half for the European version and forgot the last boss was invincible as long as your life bar isn' t reduced by half its original length.

That being said, I can see why a perfectionist would want to stay the hell away from it.

I have come to the realization over the past couple of days that GSC, or even HGSS are no longer my favorite Pokémon games. My favorite is B2W2.

superman #65: it's a story about 3 kryptonians who come to earth to take control and turn it into krypton and in doing so cause massive amounts of damage

superman sees this but does not engage until he has rebuilt the city and saved the people and when he does fight them, takes them to an uninhabited island

    this is real.

I have finally succeeded in hooking a certain friend on Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood after about five years of myself and others attempting to do the very same task.

I'm so very happy that she likes it a lot.

still waiting on you to sway me on evangelion. looked up the summary for end of and it sounded like the most offensively bad pseudo intellectual bullshit. like what a high schooler writes when he thinks vague=deep=good

Eva is a very fine example of "Death of the Author". What you get out of the show is very much what you put into it. In a way, there is really no wrong answer. Personally, I don't care for the show. I saw it several years ago, saw some neat things, but found it to be very shallow. But there are several think pieces about the show in its characters, concepts, and themes that I don't dismiss either.

Yeah no it's not going to happen. Evangelion is the most divisive thing I've ever seen in anime. You're either on board with it or not.

I'll add that it's actually a very simple message throughout the series that isn't anywhere near as complicated as people make it out to be but if just watching it doesn't make you like it I doubt anything I do will.

give me in as many words as you want what it is you like about this show in as many aspects as you think adequately convey why you think this is a quality show. there are minor things about this show that i think are brilliant. but as a whole i just dont see what other people see and to be fair ive never had someone give me reasons beyond "i like the story and i think its deep because x"
