This is how I was a month or so ago until I just... stopped, and started playing and reading things.

    @Episode 1 talk
It's entire second act is a waste of time to beef out the film so it can be a film. It doesn't need to exist. You can summarize everything of any relevance in that film in a single paragraph and miss nothing. The race is the worst. It contributes nothing whatsoever. Maul and Jinn serve no purpose outside of this film. Despite this I used to love it as a kid. I don't know why.

If it was good then, then the only that changed is your taste or your view of the film. Same thing with peeps in their 20s who mock me for watching cartoons.

The race served the purpose of characterizing Anakin- showing his ability to think quick and pull through. It made him special because humans don't do that. That, and it was cool. Did the monster hunting bit in Final Fantasy IX serve a purpose other than to flesh out the town and be fun? Noooope.

Jinn exists to show where Obi-Wan's morality comes from. He had a source of light that never budged and he aspires to live up to that, so he does not sway. He started to sway and defy in the first film and it never happens again after Jinn dies.

Maul exists as a symbol of fear. He is meant to make the sith feel as deadly as they are. This is why he executes Jinn, the unwavering morality and light. He strikes him down in an instant. The good should have died, but all it did was inspire Obi-Wan to take Jinn's role. That said, his purpose was "don't fuck with the sith". His character in the new Clone Wars series adds to that a ton. He's deadly, precise, and takes action.

I think I just hit rock bottom on trying to find a boy or SOMETHING because I made a tinder two nights ago and I have 50 matches and I'm ACTUALLY TALKING TO THEM a lot and I ran out of people to like or not like in a 25 mile radius around me in the 19-27 age group. but seriously i could cry at how pathetic and lonely i've become

All my dreams stop before the best part, and then they fade away from my memory about an hour later.

That only works in certain situations. There's a difference between growing out of something and changing one's mind about it upon reflection. Those cartoons you're talking about were intelligently written, and they may've been for kids but they also didn't patronize kids; they put in jokes that would likely go over most of their heads, knowing that their parents would laugh and they'd eventually get it themselves when they grew up. Phantom Menace wasn't meant for kids, it was meant for all ages - and it's written like a Kindergarten project. A lot of people just didn't notice the first time because it did everything it could to keep you from thinking about it. Scene for scene there's so much more action than most of the original trilogy had, and the pace is much quicker.

This is all well and good, but it only serves The Phantom Menace; any good it does for the rest of the series is either negligible, inefficient, or ultimately outweighed by the confusion it adds. If the movies are meant to stand as a whole, 1-3 and 4-6 united, then there are enough examples of the Sith's fierceness and Obi-Wan's morality that whatever episode 1 adds is just so much fluff. In turn we get confused relationships (Anakin and Padme, Anakin and Obi-Wan), a lot of weird plot contrivances (blockade scene, Padme's double, characters generally making stupid decisions moment to moment), and a narrative that is largely discarded inside of an hour and a half. Episode 1 matters primarily to itself, somewhat to episodes 2 and 3, and not at all to 4, 5, and 6. And even then, it's not that great. It's just eye-catching.

Truly, we live in the future.

Side-question for anyone: how does Bayonetta compare between PS3 and Xbox 360 versions? I have it on 360, but my friend who wants to play only has PS3.

SEGA porked the PS3 port. They didn't expect the PS3 to have a bad fill rate, so they removed a lot of visual filters and created really long load times. I've heard they got rid of the slow down from the PS3 version though. Still, that's why Vanquish was lead developed for PS3.

That's how bad it might be.

This shows a lot of color difference too

    “There's no time for us
    There's no place for us
What is this thing that builds our dreams, yet slips away from us?
    Who wants to live forever?
    Who wants to live forever?”

Hello KHV, it’s been some pretty good yet interesting days.

First, today I formally started my singing classes, I started singing “Who Wants To Live Forever?” by Queen, apparently according to everyone I talk to (Including the teacher), I have a well-tuned voice (But that will not stop my low self-esteem from kicking in).

Why I am taking singing classes? Because I love singing and everything related to art and emotion’s expressions.

I might also get a Microphone gifted in so I can record some stuff for fun (I’ve been having this idea in mind for a while), but nothing settled in, so there’s that, I’ll get back to you on that in tomorrow, or a few days.

Also, just a few days up to a week for me getting Bravely Default, I can’t wait (To add more games to my list to finish)!

Because I never listened to it in my entire life up to this point?

No I mean it, I barely get out of my comfort zone when it comes to music, that's my own bad and I need to get better in that.

Good Cover, btw, but I prefer the original one due to me having a sweet spot for "Rock Orchestra" or "Rock Opera". It's all personal opinion though.

It does has nice feels though.
