There is no issue: I just don't like his films (aside from a few exceptions like Pain and Gain). I simply don't feel like disclaiming each time I post something that's obviously opinion. People can enjoy his stuff all they want, no skin off my back, but I'm gonna discuss it regardless.

I like how there's a disclaimer at the end of Fast & Furious 6 telling us that the car action sequences are dangerous. I could have told them that one but I suppose some people are lacking in common sense.

And I was not ready to see Luke Evans falling out the plane. I know Owen Shaw lives but... I was not ready.

I watched the fast & the furious and 2 fast 2 furious a lot as a child and I think it had an adverse effect on my driving as an adult

I didn't see any of the others until recently (holy **** tokyo drift was bad I mean I was warned but jesus), but I have yet to watch furious 7. I don't feel emotionally ready

Maybe I'm desensitized by Sean's accent because I live in the middle of bumfuknowhere, but I didn't think that movie was bad at all. I mean sure it differs from the first two in the sense that the cast is wildly different, and it takes place in a timeskip so to speak, but at least it isn't just early 2000's Need for speed games "the movie" or "Family is super important (spoken in grumble voices) 46: Revenge of the Corona". Don't get me wrong I think both of those types of Fast and Furious movies have their place, and I have enjoyed all of them. However, if we criticize the faults in Tokyo drift, the rest of the movies also fall apart as they are filled to the brim with "what the fuk....really?" moments.

In fact most of the movies are just a mix of car porn, action porn, porn porn, and lots of horribly timed gear shifts AND FAMILY. All of that being said I like all of the movies as I grew up with them, and have been passionate about cars since I was little.

The first of these films I saw was Fast 6. I was going to see another movie (The Conjuring I think), but my brothers wanted to see that, so I dropped them off there and waited with them until my movie started. The first five minutes had me laughing, but in a good way. I was able to actually watch the entire film a year later. I didn't know what I was missing.

That being said, I didn't care for Furious 7. I mean, I liked the last movie, it was done by one of my favorite directors, but I just couldn't get with it. I guess it's because I came in so late in the game that I just didn't feel anything for it. It's a fine movie, it just wasn't something for me.

6 is pretty much the only one I've seen since I like Luke Evans as an actor. It's rumored he's coming back from the 8th one depending on his schedule. But I think he'll do it since he likes acting and hasn't been typecast as anything yet. Even if most of my friends and family know him as Dracula and or Bard.

Though he does villains well. I have to admit that.

I know he makes a cameo appearance in 7 but I'm not sure if I'm emotionally prepared for that.

To paraphrase an article on CBR, the later Fast and Furious films are pretty much X-Force but without mutant powers.
I don't know if I agree, but the action does strike that tone. Still haven't seen 7 yet, but I enjoy them.
Except for Tokyo Drift. It's a good background film, but it's the weakest in the bunch, if you ask me.

the sheer ridiculousness and nonsensical plot to facilitate it is what I love about the fast & furious films. critically, they're awful. but they're goddamn fun to watch. tokyo drift didn't really have the absurdity of the other movies nor the likeable characters and I was just generally bored through it (whereas the other films keep me entertained for the full runtime)

they're dumb movies and i'm certainly not in a position to judge anyone for liking tokyo drift lol. all good if you enjoy it

Oh no you totally were. It' s either that or you' re a boot-licker. And I don' t peg you as a boot-licker.
But there wasn' t much to forgive really, I could see why you and I started on the wrong foot.

I'm watching a playthrough of Until Dawn and I don't need this tension. I don't even like these stupid horror games. I just want to know who's behind it.
