    ive been planning to buy alpha sapphire and x for a while but havent gotten around to it and after the announcement i posted above im prob gonna do it soon. really want to delete all those hacked mons and have a legit dex. hate it but water you gonna do know what im sayin (is what i was thinking in the moment). and since im gonna buy those two i might as well also get super mystery dungeon because im intrigued by mystery dungeon (played one on gba) and Super seems like a good entry point. and im also excited for red/blue on the eshop. originally i was just gonna get red but i was thinking since im gonna be buying both versions of the gen 6 games its only fair that i also buy both of gen 1. and then i see that yellow is being released as well. well ****. i also have platinum. so i guess it makes sense to get the 3rd release for gen 1 as well. and when z comes out IF IT EVER ****ING DOES it would fit perfectly in the collection. its all about symmetry, yall. perfect, horrendously expensive symmetry.

    My eyes have been twitching all day. I must look like I'm about to murder someone.

    EDIT:

    I've been kind of thinking of posting little snippets of work from my original story. Not part of the story itself but like little insights into the world and the more major players. And it might give me some motivation to actually work on the story proper. Was just kind of wondering if there'd be interest. It involves those pictures of dragons that wind up in my signature from time to time.

    I know Nova'd read them.

    So I'm setting up my new computer, and I'm going to be using Chrome as my default/primary browser. I installed Stylish; however, I can't get code to work on there because it looks like it works slightly different than on Firefox.

    On Firefox, this is the code I have for KHV, for example:

    Code:
    @-moz-document domain("kh-vids.net") {
      .xenOverlay.memberCard .userInfo .status {
        display: none;
      }
    }
    Card 1.PNG

    Card 2.PNG

    This isn't working on Chrome.

    Can anyone offer any help? (@Misty?)

    We've already lost David Bowie and Alan Rickman and it's only January.

    What a depressing year.

    Your sempai needs kind words today.

    Work at the restaurant has been virtually nonexistent, so after two months of holding out, waiting for it to pick up again, I decided to start applying for other jobs. We have more bills to pay now, so this just isn't cutting it. The other day I updated my resume and emailed it to various ads on Craiglist, one being for an assistant position for the Realtor woman. She emailed me back yesterday (addressing me by the wrong name and having to send a second email to apologize for doing so) asking if we could meet this morning. The time she scheduled didn't work for me, as it was 15 minutes before my shift started and the job is in Madison, almost a half hour away. I asked if it could be rescheduled for 9:45 instead of 10:15 to allow for the necessary time to make it to work. She never responded so I told my boss I would be late coming in. After getting up early and working hard to appear sexy yet sophisticated, I dropped my husband off at work and headed to the city. I was there 15 minutes early and stuck outside in the cold. The building it was located in was mixed-use. It had businesses on the lower level with outside entrances, but the offices on the second floor had a hallway you were required to enter first, but the outside doors for those hallways were locked. They had doorbells, but no one answered. I tried calling the woman's office number twice, but it just went to voicemail. I went back to my van because my fingers felt like they were about to fall off and waited until it was almost 10:15. Then I tried going back upstairs again and still no one would answer. So I peaked into the large window by the door and saw the receptionist at the desk and waved her over to let me in. Then she told me that the woman I was meeting with wasn't in the office and called her cell. She put me on the phone to speak with her for me to find out that she was at home sick in bed, because she didn't think I was going to come in today. I told her that since she never emailed me back, I came in at the designated time anyway, because I didn't want her to think was standing her up. She said that because she was sick, she forgot to email me back and apologized again, asking if we could meet some time next week. So I wasted gas driving to Madison and back for no reason and then hurt my arm shortly after arriving at work and now I still have 4 hours left of my day before I can go home and not be angry. =/

    Don't forget Lemmy Kilmister. This year is proving to be more terrible than 2014 and 2015.

    I was wrong. It was last year. I only heard about it this year and where I heard it made it seem recent.

    More like what a depressing week. We lost Bowie on Monday(technically Sunday night and Alan Rickman today(technically last night).

    They happen in threes. So who's the next one?

    We also lost Brian Bedford yesterday, best known for his stage work (particularly Shakespeare) and for providing the voice for Robin Hood in the Disney movie.

    I'm so heartbroken that I didn't win the powerball.
    I mean, I knew I wouldn't.
    1 in 292.2 million chance?
    I only bought one ticket (it was my first time ever buying a lotto ticket)
    BUT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO AMAZING IF I DID.

    I told my boss I wouldn't quit my job if I won, at least not for a few months, but I would not be in for the rest of the week lol.
    I even had a plan:
    Brand new cars for me and my girlfriend. Probably fix our current crappy ones up as much as possible and just give them away.
    Safest car I could find for my mother, who needs one.
    I'd buy my girlfriend's uncle and aunt's house which is up for sale and pay for their moving costs. That would be for my mother and my sister. Of course, I'd take care of her bills after that. All of them and not just her cell phone and groceries like I can afford now.
    I would buy THE ENTIRE MARVEL COMICS COLLECTION FOR A QUARTER MILLION (http://bbopcomics.com/index.php/complete-marvel-comics-collection-sale/). Seriously, that'd be the first ****ing purchase.
    My coworker who convinced me to get a ticket would get a million dollars a year just for the hell of it.
    I'd pay my brother's bills for a year and give him 20 grand to get his life together (as well as say that I'm the big brother now).
    Pay my girlfriend's and my student loans off completely and buy out her contract from her current job. She'd want to keep working, but at least she wouldn't have to do full-time.
    Give my uncle and aunt several thousand for everything they've done for me.
    Pay my grandmother's bills.
    Pay my cousin's medical bills.
    Buy a house (nothing really fancy, though).
    Get my girlfriend the best ring I could find and throw the wedding I want to have.
    My friend who's getting married in a few months would get thirty grand to start their life together with.
    I'd fly out and meet my younger brother and sister on my father's side whom I've never met and, when time comes, pay for their college educations (as well as my aforementioned sister). I'm probably not ready to reconcile with my father, though.
    Hire a lawyer and a financial advisor (this belongs at the top of this list).
    Go back to my old job and give all of my old coworker (well, the ones I'm close to) however much money they need to quit working for such a god-awful company, stay on their feet, and find a new job.
    Give my current manager some money for simply giving me the supervisor job as a "thanks for the opportunity, sorry I'm leaving" gift (he's bitter his own store is opening a year and a half later.) I'd probably buy his band (Hillbilly Jedi. Look them up) new equipment for the hell of it.
    Finish my schooling and put all my energy into my writing.
    Buy every "big" video game that I missed out on.
    Buy KHV

    Start annual donations to charity (I'd sign up for the annuity payment plan, not the lump sum payment).
    Save a bunch, obviously, for the future.
    Get so involved with politics (actually getting a local office was the original career goal...four years ago).
    Of course, saving and investing is a given.

    Then I'd probably start giving out that money (Monthly KHV drawing for five grand, anyone?).
    I would make sure that no close friends of mine would be on hard times. I wouldn't just give them like a hundred grand or anything, but if they're behind on bills or need a car or something, yeah, I'd give them a few grand to get everything together. (Everyone else can talk to my lawyer and financial advisor).

    And you know what?

    I'D STILL HAVE MORE MONEY THEN I NEED.
    I told my girlfriend that I'd never make her sign a prenup and if I won and Flying Spaghetti Monster forbid, got a divorce, I'd want her to have half of that. What the hell would I be doing with all that anyway?

    But hey, paycheck to paycheck is still a fun way to live.

    Thanks! I'll give this a try when we get back.

    Does that include the URL? Get rid of all this?

    I started reading High-Rise and holy sheet it's a trip and a half. And I've only read 3 chapters!

    Spoilers ahead! And possibly some disturbing stuff.

    • The first sentence is Laing eating a dog. And then he starts re-living how things got to that point.
    • Richard Wilder lives on the 2nd floor with his wife, Helen, and their two children.
    • Laing lives on the 25th floor.
    • Anthony Royal, the designer, lives on the 40th floor. The roof is immediately above him. He’s described as a ‘fallen angel’ ‘looking over and down on us’.
    • Royal and Laing play squash together once a week but Royal declined their most recent game. ‘Perhaps as an experiment.’
    • Laing heads up to the roof where a fancy dress party is taking place. They murmur disapprovingly about his sneakers and squash clothes. They crowd around him but Laing’s rescued by one of his neighbors.
    • There are two pools in the building. One in the upper floor and one on the 10th floor.
    • The 10th floor is supposed to be “neutral” territory. This is where the supermarket is located. Along with a bank, a hair salon, and a junior school for the 50 or so children that occupy the building.
    • There’s constant partying with booze.
    • Things are thrown off the balconies. At first Laing assumes it was an accident when the champagne bottle lands on his balcony. But later things are deliberatly thrown off to cause damage to the cars of the denizens of the upper floors.
    • What floor you live on determines where you park. If you live on a higher floor, you get to park closer.
    • There are set times for the children to use the 10th floor swimming pool but “the adults show up anyway”.
    • The 50 or so children belong to those on the lower floors. Whereas there’s an usual number of dogs owned by those on the upper floors. The people on the higher floors dislike the presence of children and the ones on the lower floors dislike the presence of dogs.
    • The incident with the dog in the pool happens in a passing mention by Laing. Along with the coincidence that Wilder was in the pool. It also happens during a black out the affects the 9th, 10th, and 11th floor.
    • The dog owners use the common elevators to walk their dogs. So there’s complaints of dog urine and feces in them.
    • People on the middle floors leave their doors wide open despite the tension and unrest. Laing questions another person about this and she says: ‘Why that’s half the fun!’
    • Growing content and satisfied with the goings on in the high-rise seems to be a red flag. Laing notices this on several occasions.
    • The buildings are also described as sentient on numerous occasions and as having legs and growing. The thrumming of the elevators is compared to a heartbeat and the residents to red blood cells.
    • The people watch their televisions with the sound turned down.
    • The first human death occurs at the end of chapter 3 and is the neighbor that rescued Laing at the rooftop party.
    • Wilder is described as ‘restless’. Yet Laing generally seems to like him and his wife.
    • Laing came to the high-rise upon advice of his sister after a divorce from his wife of 1 year. A place where he could be alone and yet meet people. It’s also within convenient driving distance to his place of occupation.

    And I've only read through Chapter 3.
