Happy Star Wars Month: Day 24 !!!!

 

Merry Christmas Eve to those that celebrate. To those that don't, Happy December 24th.

It's frozen rain than snow but there is whiteness. Looks like I got my White Christmas after all.

my immeidate family is going to travel tomorrow to see relatives. i really don't want to go because ive been at school and then working with like no breaks and all of that plus mental health things make traveling to see family seem so overwhelming. like i just can't handle the patronizing relative stuff right now, and they're all big groups and i just want peace and quiet these days. it's what i need. but they want me there. so i do the selfish thing and not go (they don't know the reasons i said above and i'm not ready to tell them about my adventures in therapy yet) or do i go despite my great reservations. i know i should go but damn dealing with that would be bad

 

You can't please everyone all the time, so if you are in desperate need of you time then by all means do it. To me there is close to no point in spending time with family if you are miserable the entire time. It doesn't do anything for you or them, and any sensible family member would understand if you need to just take care of yourself.

my dad's just trying to guilt me into going.
he said something to the effect of "this is family who wants to see you and who helps you"
well im not sure if that's using guilt but still
he's not wrong but gdi. id feel bad for not going but i would contribute nothing being there
and [details withheld] there will be like twice as many people there this year.

 

If he is anything like my dad, he just feels bad that your family might not get to see you as much as they would want. That's just a shot in the dark though. For example my grandparents on my dad's side live in Philly which is like two and a half hours away. I know that isn't the longest drive in the world, and it is nowhere near the longest I've gone, but it is still something that takes up an entire weekend whenever we go. Most of the time I am game to go down there, because I know that they never get to see me and they like it when I'm there. However, I also know that it is important to take care of myself when I am in need of it. They may be upset in the moment when I tell them I can't go, but they understand.

 

if i eat all the candy now, it wont be there to tempt me later

I already took down my M&M's that I got for Christmas.

 

I haven't eaten any of my Christmas candy yet. ...Though I feel like I've eaten most everything else.

Just watched a heart-touching film on YouTube called Prayers for Bobby.

i always thought uma thurman looked kind of cool as an od'ing *****. i dont know why

 

so there i was
going through a pile of the family's dvds seeing if there was anything i wanted to steal
(saw they had an audrey hepburn movie, someones gonna have to explain that to me wtf)
and i see iron giant and i think
well **** thats a pretty good movie that i remember loving and i don't think a blu ray of it exists so ill just take this
and i start reading the back of the box and i get to the bottom where the put all the rights things, you know?
and i see this
"Superman and all related characters..."
and i'm like "what..."
"...what"
so i google iron giant superman,
because it's been a super long time since i've seen this movie
and i see this scene. you know. the scene.
so long story short, i found the iron giant dvd and 3 minutes later i'm crying. that's what this movie does.

 

I started watching Breaking Bad all over again with only two more episodes to finish. And I still hate Skyler.

 

I re watched three and a half seasons while studying for finals. And I still hate Skyler.

 

Finally saw Jurassic World yesterday. It did not fail to deliver.
