It's kinda depressing. That section is like a graveyard.

I honestly liked it, and found it one of the best cases for motion-capture actors (Andy Serkis playing Caesar was one of the best performances of 2011, NO REGRETS SAYING THAT)

I look forward to the sequel too, and that's kinda rare for me to say about many films these days, where I find a continuation of the story pointless.

Well the movie kinda demands a sequel. Not because of unanswered questions or open plot points, but because you become so invested in the apes and Caesar and want to see where they go. Well at least I did, guess I can't speak for everyone. That and the credit scene holy god i need to see that play out

In other news I'm basically 1/7 of the way caught up one OP. Finished Arlong this morning. so many feels

I haven't seen it but isn't it a prequel to Planet of the Apes? That's where they go on to.

OP's the best. Ugh what I would give to wipe my memory clean of OP just so I can watch it all over again. So many amazing moments.
Arlong's a great arc, but it's nothing compared to what's waiting for you ahead.

Not really, no. It does share themes with the book, but it changed several plot points to insert its own themes.

The upcoming movie will show the cohabitation between humans and apes, a topic which is only mentioned briefly in the book but definitely deserves some focus. If it' s anything like the first movie they' ll treat it as an action oriented summer blockbuster but I' ll take what I can get.

I've made it all the way to the beginning of Thriller Bark before but fell off. That was a couple years ago so I'm starting over.
But yeah, I hate knowing what's going to happen. Wish I could experience it for the first time now.

    Can't wait till I get to W7/CP9.[DOUBLEPOST=1390830534][/DOUBLEPOST]
Is it bad that I haven't seen the original? Or any of the others.

Enies Lobby has my favorite fights in the series.

The original is really really dated nowadays. I like the 70s/80s brand of sci fi that started with movies like Planet of the Apes partly because they're more willing to do crazy stupid stuff and partly because it's just so cheesy. Modern viewers usually hate them because they're not visually very impressive and don't usually have any real action. Anyhow, it's not bad to have missed it really. Also, Rise is a reboot, not a true prequel.

Ugh, dumb Shadow Sora is making my Standard Mode run without changing equipment or using a single continue hurt. I had him down to HALF A BAR OF HP GODDAMMIT MOTHERFUUUUUU-

I don't wanna go to Atlantica to grind, but I get the feeling I'm gonna have to. Ugh. Dumb merboy controls whyy??

You can use "Load Game" without incurring a penalty~ Also Shadow Sora was brutal for me. ;~; RIKUNORT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO SMASH YOUR CONTROLLER AND EQUIP EVERYTHING JUST TO WIPE HIS SMUGASS SMIRK OFF (unless you equip Ars Arcanum which I sadly neglected to do)

I know, but when you've learned to save frequently the hard way -- by essentially playing the first half of both Halloween Town and Monstro twice -- you still get pissed when the bosses are on the other side of the world and you lost all the exp you got from fighting a horde of Black Fungi.
And ugh no pls stop the Pegasus Cup isn't any easier than when I went to try it pre-Monstro (why don't you suck on that shuriken, Yuffie? >:L). I feel so awful.

I've never legit beat KH1 on Standard mode (used a GameShark for fast level up, all Keyblades and 99999 munny from the get-go a while back), so if doing it normally was brutal then I'm jumping straight into hell...
[DOUBLEPOST=1390868100][/DOUBLEPOST]Pegasus Cup DONE!~ Got Strike Raid, which I'll be equipping once I've got more AP, and going for the Hercules Cup... as soon as it's unlocked.

Oh no, I did a No Continue/No Equipment run on Standard too, haha. I ended up equipping stuff for Rikunort because I kept on losing. ;~; What helped me stay alive for everything before that (even Dragon Maleficent), was letting the rest of the party take on the boss and swoop in every now and then to throw in my share of hits. It's also important to keep Aero on at all times in a fight, and never let your health get to the point where it's flashing red in a fight. At that point, glide the hell away from everything and do it where you know there's no enemies, so you don't end up getting smacked up side the head by a Darkball before Cure gets cast.

That would be a great strategy if my allies weren't prone to being KO'ed for 97% of any fight, whether it's against a boss or a Shadow horde. And it's amazing how much you can take a few bandanas and keychains for granted. I really just wanna get the Three Wishes or Pumpkinhead and bash these suckers into the ground. But alas, this is the curse I have brought upon myself.

If it makes you feel better, I was recently trying a speed-run/no equipment/no continue run on Easy mode. Still found myself dying at all de boss battles. :c

    That's him.

It's like with Terranort. We might as well just say Braignort and Isanort.

    Wait what?

I haven't finished Dream Drop Distance, so I have no clue why you'd add "nort" to those two :|

Enies Lobby is beautiful. I think the fights in OP are generally some of the best in manga. Kind of a bold statement to make but I'm standing by it.

Funny story, I was just watching a video where people discussed how nostalgia affects people's perceptions and one of the things they talked about was Planet of the Apes, so I'm kinda curious now. I don't generally mind older things. I figured, given the feel of it and the recent influx of reboots.[DOUBLEPOST=1390869190][/DOUBLEPOST]
