    my exact words were

if anything is to be inferred from this it's that hearing such vehement negative criticism coming from someone else is refreshing for me.

    It's four seasons.

And just because 1.5 is bad doesn't mean the other seasons are. Case closed.

i did not know it was 4. i thought it was 3

yes amaury, that is a very basic logical conclusion that i would hope no one capable of any level of discussion needs to be reminded of.

    My perspective:

    1. The original thing you quoted said that Korra has no good seasons "and no one wants to admit it."

    2. I asked if you watched all four books of Korra after you said you disliked it.

    3. You said you didn't like Book 1 and Book 2, and thus won't try to finish the rest of the series.

    4. I said that you shouldn't be saying that the series has no good seasons if you didn't finish watching it all.

    5. You said you were simply quoting someone else's words on it (which was that it all was bad) and added that you, having not seen it all, can't say it's all bad but were not interested in finishing the series.

    6. I explained my confusion, saying that you didn't disagree with the statement you quoted (statement = all seasons of Korra are bad.)

    7. You affirmed that you don't disagree with the statement (and thus, agree that all seasons of Korra are bad.)

Notice, mainly, the contradictions of 5 and 7.

i dont know man all i said was hooray another person whose opinion seems to be in the minority. beyond that its stuff that you brought to the conversation.

there is some non sequitur going on here. i dont have the experience in this show to agree with that statement in its entirety and therefore cannot disagree, but extending that to mean that i agree with each component of a multi faceted statement does not work when it has already been firmly established that i have not seen all of the show, that i was not speaking on the statement itself, and that my quoting the statement was due to its novelty from my own perspective.
there is a history of miscommunication between us and i'm not sure why it continues to be a problem. perhaps the ways we interpert information and fill in the gaps with our own inferences are very different on a subconscious level

All I'm saying is, you should just work on wording your statements better. I do what I can with what I read and hear, and I hope you understand why I was confused: I was forced to make inferences from what you quoted versus what you actually thought.

And I still stand by my statement that you shouldn't be quoting a statement of such absolutes when you haven't finished the series. Yeah half of it ranges from bad to ok, but the second half is where the writers really figured out what they wanted to do with the story.

I know that doesn't sound appealing probably, and I know it's hard to be a vocal opponent of such a well-liked series, but I still think you'd at least find some enjoyment in Books 3 and 4.

    Re: LoK
I'm still kind of 'meh' about Amon from Season 1. And I haven't really seen the other four seasons so I can't really judge if it's good or bad. But Season 1 was beyond frustrating from the standpoint of a writer. [ introducing a great villain that terrifies the hero and then dumbing him down to make him easier to defeat. And then having him be defeated through a deus ex machina. And the hero suffers no consequences in the end. ]

But still waiting for my Equalist mini-series/spinoff.

On an unrelated note, I am going on vacation in August. I am so looking forward to this. A week away from work. A week away from entitled customers and retail. A week of relaxation spent with my niece and nephew.

Totally agree, Amon was a great setup that fell on its face. It's so bad when you can call a poor plot-twist like that. Not to mention all the badly written romance and waste of Bolin.

Book Three and Book Four make up so much for all the issues the first half of the series had. Bolin gets justice, Korra develops so much more than punching and yelling ("Korra Alone" is probably my favorite episode of the series), Zaheer is without a doubt the best antagonist the entire Avatar franchise has witnessed yet, the background art is super impressive, etc.

Watching an episode of Kill la Kill for the first time ever.

This is the strangest hentai I've ever seen[DOUBLEPOST=1436677113][/DOUBLEPOST]DC's next animated films:
Batman: The Killing Joke (because The Dark Knight wasn't close enough?)
    Justice League vs. Titans
Batman: Bad Blood - an original story introducing Batwoman to the animated films. I now really want Taylor Swift to voice her and it doesn't even fit, but I don't care

Just stick with it. Trust me, that's what I was like when I started watching. It gets better.

    Jesus, so much Batman...

I wish Marvel would put out animated films like DC does.
...Hell, I wish Marvel would just put out better animated stuff, period.

Yeah, DC really milks Batman when it comes to that stuff.
I just want a Robin anthology film series.
But I guess I'll settle for their "Robin War" crossover in comics coming...whenever. Because, a bunch of street kids who form a Robin gang can totally take Damian Wayne and his pet Gargoyle-thing-that-is-not-a-man-bat[DOUBLEPOST=1436677602][/DOUBLEPOST]
It seemed interesting, the dialogue I bothered to pay attention to.
I just....I don't know. The premise seems like something with which I don't want to bother.

If the new Korra comics don't address the post-Amon Equalists, I may cry.

It works out. Marvel has better live action movie, DC has better animated stuff. It balances out.

I wonder if we'll come to a point where people will be bored of Batman in the near future?

Dude, I know what you mean. Before I never would of given it the time of day. It is a lot better than how it first seems. Especially ep. 7 onward.

It's one of the best not-very-deep action anime released in the past five years. It has a few hiccups (rushed finale, for one) but I absolutely love the ride it took me on. And the art direction may take some getting used to, but I find it stellar. You may already love the music; I hope you do at least.

    Also....dub or sub?
