If I ever get into Hacking (hack-making? Rom-making? Whatever it's actually called), my first project will be a FireRed/LeafGreen Hack, but with Digimon.
You play as Ryu from Tamers. The Gym Leaders will be the original Digidestined.
I've been playing with this idea for years.
But...I know absolutely nothing about making a Rom.

Most Rom hacks for popular games (specifically gba era and below, and specifically Pokemon) are fairly easy to pull off as most things that you can change (with ease at the very least) have pre-made programs built for them already. From my experiences (as I have made several custom roms with Fire Red/Leaf Green) there are programs that can fully edit the maps / their attributes (such as making certain tiles capable of having wild Pokemon in/on them), editing which Pokemon can spawn where/how often/how many. You can edit the overworld and in battle sprites. The list goes on and on.

Basically as long as you have the skill-set (artistically), and are willing to learn, then projects such as this only really just takes time.

I am going to table this for later, but thanks! I wondered since it is a popular template for a hack, if there were programs like that, but never bothered to look into it since I'm completely clueless on the subject. Though whenever I get some time, I might look into this.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me or send me a user message. Rom hacking (specifically gba era) was at the height of my "hacking career". Haven't done much since but the memories of all the stuff I have done are still there.

As for links, check this stuff out

nu vk is preposterously massive. it towers over my other kits.
it looks glorious and is a masterpiece of plastic model engineering.
theres so much value there and it elevates what these things can be.
like i kind of don't ever want to get any other mg that doesn't reach or come close to this raised bar.

I DID AND I LIKED IT, someone I follow on Twitter was calling it awful but I thought it was kinda cute. It reminded me of an episode of Adventure Time -- Memories of Boom Boom Mountain I think is the title? I whispered that to my boyfriend as we were watching it and he said "oh yeah, the island episode?" so that's two Adventure Time parallels there. yeah I'm really ****ed up about Adventure Time

but back on the subject, i thought it was cute, fight me

I'm just waiting for them to post the full video online so I can watch it again :3

I work in a movie theater so I hear the song five or six times a day

Of Adventure Time? Yeah, I need to watch the last few episodes. Have you not seen any in the season?

When the season started I was watching with it, but I dropped off after Something Big because I found that, for my own enjoyment, AT watches better collected than with gaps between releases. it feels like a lifetime since I last watched or even thought about Adventure Time.

I agree that it's conducive to binging, I usually let a few episodes build up before I watch (I think I have three or four to get through?). Enjoy what's ahead of you.

Marvel ****ed up and cast Tom Holland as Spider-Man instead of me.
Come on, Marvel. I already have Spidey socks. My costume is like five percent complete.
Does Tom Holland have Spidey socks?
    Well...maybe, I don't know his life.
    BUT STILL MARVEL.

    Ew

We had an Africanized Bee infestation during the summer of I believe last year, but financial issues meant we could only kill the bees and not remove the hive. This time, we're getting it removed, since, well, bees came back.

And our air conditioning unit I guess has a giant block of ice causing blockage, so we have to switch the system to heat instead...which means no way in hell my family's staying home today.

I don't think I've seen him in anything.
Or any of the director's stuff.
Which is either good for when I do see him as Spidey
or means I need to watch his stuff now to get an opinion
