    back from Age of Ultron
it's pretty good. The only things that I really latched onto were Ultron and the ideas surrounding him. Very interesting and classic sci-fi stuff there (which is what I'm all about). The other stuff was fun but not really what I care for. Like during the big action scene at the end my mind started to wander some. The movie should have been called "Avengers: James Spader Has the Best Voice"
the only real negatives I have with it are that it's too Whedon-y at times. There were some moments that I could have done without the comic relief, some stuff just wasn't funny, and the repetition began to wear on his brand of humor after a while.
edit: I did some looking into what has some parts of the internet furious with Whedon concerning BW in this movie, and I'm somewhat outraged by their reaction.

    @Misty what's your problem

i've been too bored and tired to type out my thoughts on aou, i mostly don't care enough to put effort into it lol.
as previously stated, i'm not into marvel. the movie felt like a chore to get through. scarjo and ruffalo had like zero chemistry, it was all so forced and bad. did not laugh, like, at all -- usually at minimum i can be amused by iron man/rdj but jesus it seemed like the only joke in this movie was "haha captain america is OLD and OLD FASHIONED." did not find the thor's hammer scene funny but again, i'm not into marvel, i have like zero attachment to these characters (also, ew at the prima nocta thing). i vaguely remember there being a few dick jokes too
the idea behind ultron was cool but it didn't go scifi enough to be anything really compelling or sinister, instead read as "hey we're using Artificial Intelligence to create our villain you don't need to see it any kind of depth tho let's just have cool fight scenes" -- again, i know marvel is built around cool fight scenes, i'm just not interested in them. when iron man put on the big suit to fight hulk i was just like... ok... i'm not six years old. (is the child in me dead?)

i'm told that the flashback scenes were the high points of the movie -- unfortunately, they happened to coincide with the bathroom breaks i took (idk why but i peed like four times during this movie, it may have been out of boredom)
it's not a BAD MOVIE or anything i just don't think it's for me. it's sort of the same feeling i had during/after gotg: this is catering to a pretty specific audience and i'm not apart of it.

i think you're selling Ultron short but I get that if it's not you're thing you're not going to be inclined to care

Windows license wasn't working right and I didn't just call them to reactivate it. Did a lot of dumb stuff and now after I've wiped the SSD (the right way) I'm trying to clone my HDD to it after I've reduced the files to like 40GB.

I find it so weird that you don't enjoy these movies yet are so into Star Wars and Pacific Rim; it seriously confuses me.

But its' alright; the worst thing to do is be forced or force yourself to enjoy something. I do agree with the Black Widow/Banner thing.

it baffles me too! on paper I really should be into marvel but everything I've seen has just been a huge yawn. whedon goes out of his way to be unfriendly to women which is definitely a big part of it, but star wars, while not actively offensive, isn't much better most of the time (force awakens thankfully seems to be breaking that). I suppose with superheros there's just this element of ridiculousness that I simply can't overcome -- but even that seems contradictory when I adore how ****ing absurd Pacific Rim is.

I like characters with depth and development and as I understand it, a lot of fans are upset with Whedon for ignoring anything he didn't write in the MCU.I should probably see the individual character to movies if I want to get a better attachment to them... but I also don't care enough.

I also have a lot of trouble getting into superhero comics if that's any consolation, even ones that seem perf for me (SpiderGwen). I LOVED the arc in Saga where Alana was a superhero though (but then, I always love Saga).

I swear you're an enigma wrapped in a mystery. The fact you understand how I'm confused CONFUSES ME MORE.

The only real complaint I've had against Whedon was the pink girl thing in Guardians of the Galaxy. Even though I said I didn't like Natasha x Bruce in Age of Ultron, I don't at all think it's because of being "unfriendly to women" specifically, but just poor writing in general; I liked the idea of Natasha being haunted by her past a lot, but the romance part was where it fell apart for me.

As for comics, what have you tried reading that was specifically superhero stuff? I recently went through Marvel's Civil War, which I found really damn good (though the ending was a bit of a letdown for me.)

One of the biggest complaints I've heard about Natasha in AoU (not having seen it myself) is how .
