I just read in the news that a French actress got a role in Age of Ultron. The latest X-men also featured a famous French actor, and spent a good length of its plot in Paris.

Which makes me wonder, are there any French mutant ? If memory serves Gambit' s actual name is Rémi Lebeau, but given his accent in the movie I assume he' s Cajun rather than French.

This is going to sound beyond stupid, but I am really upset that I am doing almost perfect in my English class, but out of all of my classes ever, English feels like my weakest. Like wtf man

    Gambit is definitely Cajun.

From doing a Marvel wiki search, there are many French mutants, but I couldn't name you any prominent ones.

Happy Easter to those that celebrate. To those that don't, good morning.

I'll be asking my professor tomorrow since he'll be the best one to ask, but if I can get the supplies beforehand, even better.

There were some supplies we didn't get for my art appreciation class last night because we weren't exactly sure what my professor was asking for:
    • Drawing pencils
      • Is that just another term for colored pencils or is it something completely different? If the latter, what is a drawing pencil?
    • Markers
    • Paint
      • My professor said we didn't have to get a big can of paint, as if we were painting a house, or anything special, so I assume we just need to get small cans of paint? Just the basic colors of red, blue, and yellow, which can then be used to make other colors, or a small can of each color?

Has anyone here taken an art class in college?

    Thanks!

So I'm running a fever and people are coming over. My niece has been sick with possible strep and hasn't really eaten anything since Tuesday. She went in this morning and the quick test came back negative. Which is surprising since she's displaying most of the other symptoms of strep.

@Amaury A lot of the stuff you're looking for can be found at any craft store like Michaels. They carry drawing pencils, and paints, and probably markers. Though I didn't take any art classes in college unless you count like Photoshop and stuff.

    Thanks.

Yeah, finding them isn't the problem, we just don't understand exactly what he wants. Like, what's a drawing pencil? Just an ordinary pencil, a colored pencil, or something else?

No, I'm almost certain he doesn't mean colored pencils. I can only assume this is referring to pencils made specifically for sketching. They come in a set with variations based on the shade. Just look for the pencils labeled 4B, 2B, 2H, HB, etc. You may be able to buy them individually. (I took a lot of art classes in HS)

here are some of mine for reference

I'd still ask before buying bc art supplies can get pricey and you definitely don't want to buy the wrong thing.

    So I'm hella bummed out.

    Rant:

So I go to the neurologist a lot because I was in a realllly bad car crash a couple years back (some of you know this). Today's appointment was supposed to be fairly routine, alas this was not the case. My doctor ended up giving me a neuropsychological evaluation (a smaller one tho), and unfortunately I didn't do so hot. Now one thing you guys be saying is "well Lux, bro, you have brain damage isn't this to be expected". Well yeah, it is, a few years ago. Not now, I thought I improved a lot and this test (along with my doctor) seems to think otherwise. Now don't get me wrong, my seizures have vastly improved (in fact they want to take me off the seizure meds slowly to see how I react as medication like that destroys your liver), but god damn this made me feel like an idiot.

It really makes me wonder what kind of future I have ahead of me if "memory and concentration" are huge issues for me (according to the doctors, which I to an extent don't agree with). To anyone suffering from these issues as well, I don't mean to disrespect you by using words like "stupid". If you have this, it isn't fair to you and I am sure without it your potential would be far greater. That's the thing tho, I feel like this is shooting me in the foot. In this day and age especially, two incomes in a family tend to be the way to go. What if my future "career" won't happen because of this (I bring up the family thing because I don't want to be dead weight to my family in the future). Damn man this all just blows.

AND on top of that I need to get more testing because I apparently did poorly. The only upside from this is I could apparently get more (yes more) money from my insurance company which hasn't even happened yet. The numbers they gave were ridiculous(ly good) in the past so maybe they will be better. However, that makes me feel bad. Its like "here is a sack of cash because you have no hope of ever making it yourself, sorry for the accident bruh".

Sorry for the rant khv, I guess it beats me making fun of A-dog. Gotta let the feels out, ya dig?
