That moment when you wake up with blood on one side of your face, your arms, and your pillow because you had a nosebleed overnight.

Yes I was. I might dig up The Lost World today because I have a massive need for more Rex action. Or I might just do nothing besides watch all three of them today. I'm sick. I'm allowed.

I am so excited for Jurassic World you have no idea.

I find myself enjoying the episodes with bounty hunters and clones more than the Jedi. Like, everyone talks about how amazingly awesome Ahsoka is and I'm like:

    "She's okay."

Because Cad Bane was one of the sole reasons I watched for awhile there.

Ah yesss Cad Bane. I knew nothing about him before I got into this but damn I wish I had more of him (I mean I have apparently two more seasons to go but still)

if she gets amazing i've yet to see it
she's consistently been the single worst thing in the show and i'm 4 or 5 eps into season 2.
but i agree about the bounty hunters and clones.

I don't think she's the worst thing in the show.

    HELLO EVERYONE
I haven't been around the last like two-ish weeks because my apartment's internet has been wonky, and mine eventually got cut out last week lmao. |: I was waiting on my refund from school so I could pay rent, but it didn't come until rent was due and the staff at the apartment blocked my internet usage. I've been mostly using my phone and had paid last Wednesday, but they only reenabled it this weekend so FUN TIMES.

In actual fun times though, school had its yearly Freezefest this weekend and I have a free sled, along with gloves, shirts, and like 3 pairs of pajama pants. AND BO BURNHAM CAME TO MY SCHOOL LAST NIGHT AND HE WAS GREAT. Can't wait for Springfest in a few months.

I haven't watched since ep. 5 because I've been busy, but it sounds like things happened and now I'm gonna blast through the latest episodes as soon as I get home. 8))))))

Big Hero 6 just won the Animated Film Oscar. While I don't doubt that it's great, from what I've heard, its competition* was more deserving. Leave it to the Academy to ruin the Animated Picture category by just defaulting to Disney and/or Pixar over and over.

*Song of the Sea; The Tale of Princess Kaguya; How to Train Your Dragon 2; The Boxtrolls

Also: The irony of Hayao Miyazaki getting an honorary Oscar when the Academy has only given an award to a single one of his movies.

I expected it even if I am still disappointed.

Both How to Train Your Dragon 2 and The Lego Movie were both much better films than the good-but-pretty-standard-fare Big Hero 6. Both of those movies have more potent messages, more well fleshed-out characters, more "Wow" moments, and just generally strike me as more well put together and risk-taking.

    Re: The Oscars

Let me explain you a thing...

Membership in "The Academy", [ that is the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences], is invitation only from current members. Current members number 5,765. Of those members that vote, 77 are male. 54% are over 60 and 98% are over 40. The average age is 62. And, oh, 94% are white.

In other words, the old white guys decide everything.

    [ insane statistics ]

    Re: The Animated Feature category

It's pretty much a joke at this point. But at least NPH acknowledged the Lego Movie snub.

I have seen HTTYD2 and The Lego Movie, and both were certainly Oscar-worthy in my eyes.

According to Wikipedia, the Animated Film category was added in 2001, at the 74th Academy Awards. Since then, all winners in the category but five (Shrek; Spirited Away; Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit; Happy Feet; Rango) have been by Disney or Pixar.
