End of Ennis Lobby, got the Thousand Sunny and they just set sail.

This was roughly 2 years ago for me.

the reason i can't bring myself to care that much about Arkham Origins and Knight is because Paul Dini's not behind them

Having played part of Arkham Origins, the game itself just feels so...inoffensive. It does nothing new or innovative, but also manages not to screw up gameplay or graphics, simply following in the tracks of the far superior previous two games and adding nothing. Its depiction of Batman is nothing interesting (with probably the most interesting being Arkham City's version, though of course no version of Batman is all that colorful--the dude dresses in black every night., but more criminal is that it does nothing for the villains who help define Batman, ironically the game's selling tag. The levels are big, but full of nothingness, wasting the square footage of Gotham City simply to say "we have a big playground!" which only equates to having to run around for longer distances while seeing the same stretches of bland background activity (or lack thereof.) The boss battles are brainless; though few of the other games' bosses were challenging or interesting, Arkham Origins hits a new low with its reliance of (repetitive) quick time events and meaningless environments for conflicts. Seriously, you first fight Deathstroke in some underground arena after you've dealt with Penguin and some worthless electric glove guy who's supposed to be one of the assassins...wow.

I still hold hope for Arkham Knight because it's at least doing something different, introducing a new character to the story. This could have drastic effects on the story....but that is yet to be seen until we can play the game ourselves. At least the gameplay looks to be improved on in ways that won't feel pointless, at least to me.

My only problem with Knight so far (I don't follow the news on this game) is that it looks like such a video game with the designs. I didn't love the character designs of the games before, and while the designs in Knight are cool and all, they scream franchise milking and not inspired and immersive story. That being said, I've not yet played Asylum or City myself since I don't have a ps3 so my opinions aren't worth much, but for my money, I'm not sure I'll get Origins or Knight whenever I can afford a ps3 and then later ps4 (gdi why does kh3 have to be on ps4).

edit: oh my god, Gotham is so, so bad. I truly hope this thing doesn't get renewed.

Only reason I end up watching Gotham is because Sleepy Hollow's on right after. So I apologize in advance if I accidentally boost the ratings. But yeah, I don't really follow it.

My friend had the eon ticket and since everyone at school has their streetpass on 24/7 literally our whole school has it. There's like a whole group of people scattered around the cafeteria playing pokemon at the same time everyday. It's kinda weird though.

SUPER LATE but: I haven't gotten very far into The Answer yet. It's very different from The Journey in that you don't have the Social Links to break up the dungeon crawling, which outside of watching the cutscenes is the bulk of what you'll be doing. I heard that The Answer is good for the character moments for Yukari/Mitsuru, Junpei and obviously Aigis, but I'd say if it doesn't sound interesting to play through it'd probably be best to read a summary of what happened/watch the cutscenes on YouTube.

bro i am now 45 hours into persona 4 you are so late
i'll come back to it some day if i ever feel like it. the ending to p3 brought such a sense of finality to a grand story that i almost don't want to disrupt that with any kind of epilogue or sequel. the pictures i've seen from The Answer seem intriguing but I was so satisfied upon finishing 3 that I don't feel like I need any more for the time being.
