playing p3f has been like a major experience for some reason. I haven't felt this way playing through a game since I first played through kh1.
p4's in the mail. will try to do better in that one.

i love games with strong aesthetics and color themes.

Seriously, how is Ghost in the Shell relevant right now? And why is Hollywood tackling it?

You're not: the story is set specifically in Japan, with Japanese characters. Stand Alone Complex specifically takes place mainly in Niihama, a city in Japan.

 

not just that, why does it need remaking at all, and why Dreamworks? Dreamworks? It's like their job is to make bad movies.

 

The remake part is what annoys me most of all. Why not just make their own original film and simply take inspiration from Ghost?

I mean in all seriousness, what other conceivable reason could there be? This is the type of project that I could see falling through easily.

there's a whole rant about remaking it in animation to be made but it's not worth typing atp.


edit: so i'm just about done with p3f. p4 is in the mail and I had planned to start that shortly after it arrived, but i kinda just want to play p3f again. my feelings for this game are difficult to articulate. I don't particularly care for any of the characters, but I'm so invested in the science of this game and it's intense themes. I hope by the end they explain what the heck was with Strega because there's some kind of weirdness there. I don't know if I missed something or what, but there's a problem with their motivations that I don't understand. I'd like to play 3 again to do better with social links and fusion and try to have a better understanding of the nuanced themes present. I won't, and I'll try to take what I learned and do better in P4, but I'm not sure if 4 will match the strange love I've developed for 3 in this playthrough.
