edit: finished it a while ago. Dawn best movie 2014. Planet of the Apes has like overnight become one of my very favorite things.

ergo proxy is exceedingly dull.
i'm about halfway through and it feels like everything that was set up at the beginning should be resolved by now. it has interesting ideas but it's not exploring them with any semblance of enthusiasm. horrendously slow pacing and almost nothing in the way of attempting to make me care about any of the characters. Perhaps if I watched the remaining 12 episodes I'd find more to latch onto, but with 10 episodes down already I'm finding little desire to continue. I'm sure anime enthusiasts who stick with it till the end will find a good, albeit pointlessly long, show. It had me interested for the first few episodes, but I don't think this was ever a premise that needed 22 episodes to be fully presented. Would like to see this remade/retold in film. probably dropping.

 

I can't sleep... I'm super exhausted, wiped out even, and can't sleep. But I need to sleep
